All the power you need is here.
If you’re in search of a short-range powerhouse that can still perform well at mid-range, the SGX is the ideal weapon in Battlefield 6. To maximize its potential, the right attachments are essential–and we’ve compiled a guide to help you select the best options.
The ultimate SGX configuration in BF6
Top SGX attachments in BF6
To achieve the best SGX setup in Battlefield 6, you must strike a balance between recoil management, damage output, and maintaining high mobility. Being an SMG, it excels at close-range combat. The recommended loadout below amplifies its strengths while enhancing its mid-range capabilities.
| Slot | Attachment |
|---|---|
| Muzzle | Compensated Brake |
| Barrel | 8« Extended |
| Underbarrel | Folding Vertical |
| Magazine | 30RND Fast Mag |
| Ammunition | Soft Point |
| Ergonomics | Not available yet |
| Scope | OSA-7 1.00x / RO-M 1.50x |
| Optic Accessory | Blank |
| Top Accessory | 50 MW Green |
| Right Accessory | Blank |
| Total Attachment Points | 100/100 |
This SGX setup is effective in both hipfire and ADS encounters at close to mid-range. Although SMGs are not intended for long-range combat, the excellent recoil management allows for the option of equipping a larger scope if necessary.
While this loadout may be the most effective I’ve encountered, feel free to modify the attachments to cater to your personal playstyle. You are allowed to equip any attachment you have unlocked and that fits within the 100-point limitation. Monitor the statistics in the lower right corner during customization to ensure optimal choices.
For the SGX, some players might prefer swapping out the Compensated Brake for a Suppressor, trading off some stability in favor of added stealth. Alternatively, you could upgrade to the premium 6H64 Vertical underbarrel and forgo the 50 MW Green top accessory. This would significantly impact hipfire accuracy but enhance precision and control, while removing the laser that highlights your location.
Optimal SGX class, gadgets, and throwables in BF6
The gadgets and throwables available in Battlefield 6 are determined by the class you select. It’s crucial to choose based on your preferred playstyle. However, if you’re looking for suggestions, here are the top gadgets and throwables to pair with your SGX loadout:
- Best class: Engineer or Assault
- Field Specs: Anti-armor (default for Engineer) or Frontliner (default for Assault)
- Secondary weapon: P18 pistol (the only option)
- Gadget one: M87A1 shotgun (if you choose Assault) / Unguided (if you choose Engineer)
- Gadget two: Thermobaric Grenade Launcher (if you choose Assault) / Motion Sensor Mine (if you choose Engineer)
- Throwable: Smoke
The SGX serves as the default SMG for the Engineer class in Battlefield 6. While it can be used with any class, it performs optimally with Engineers due to their ranged explosive gadgets, which compensate for the SMG’s lesser long-range capabilities. The Assault class is also a solid choice, as it provides benefits that take full advantage of the SGX’s fire rate, hipfire accuracy, and agility.
We also recommend favoring Smoke grenades over Frags or Stuns because the concealment helps you close the gap between yourself and enemies, providing an advantage when wielding an SGX.
