As adventurers explore the realm of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, they will come across various NPCs who seek assistance. One such character is Nian Suichang, whom players will meet just before entering the Shu Sanctum area. He will ask Wuchang to retrieve an elixir for his ill brother, who may have been encountered in the Revenant Temple. The mission is to reach the Shu Sanctum and obtain the elixirs for Nian, which poses its own challenges.
How to Locate the Elixirs for Nian Suichang in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Upon exiting the Lightzen Temple, players will navigate through a narrow path, cross streams, and arrive at the Narrow Stretch. Just before entering the town, look for Nian Suichang leaning against a tree to the right. Speaking with him will prompt a request for you to go to the Shu Sanctum to find elixirs for his brother at the Revenant Temple.
Nian will also provide players with a Bone Whistle, which can be used to summon him during a significant boss fight in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. After your conversation, ascend the stairs in front of you and turn left. Follow this path until you encounter an empowered Ming soldier who will attack on sight. Defeating this enemy rewards you with the Ming Armor set.
Continue up the stairs behind the boss to reach the Shu Sanctum. Here, you can activate the Shrine and speak to Nian Suichang once more. Afterward, proceed to the upper floors until you reach the third floor of the temple, at which point you can enter through the doors on the right to face the boss – Feathered Priest, Lu Bingzhang.
Defeating the Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang Boss
This boss fight can be quite challenging, but success can be achieved with strategic dodging. Besides his standard attacks, Lu Bingzhang uses two aerial maneuvers: launching a glowing red spear and striking the ground with his staff to cause area-of-effect corruption damage.
Utilize the Bone Whistle to summon Nian Suichang into the battle to draw the boss’s attention. When Lu Bingzhang turns away, take the opportunity to perform a heavy attack (R2/RT), which will quickly stagger him if executed correctly. Following this, execute an Obliterate attack to inflict significant damage.
Repeat this process until the boss is defeated, at which point you will acquire the Mercurial Blood item. Head back downstairs and present the item to Nian Suichang, who will express his gratitude for Wuchang’s effort. This action concludes the quest involving Nian Suichang in the Shu Sanctum, allowing you to fast travel back to the Revenant Temple to visit Nian Suichang and check on his brother located on the second floor in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
