Grounded 2 immerses players into a vibrant garden teeming with insects and towering grass blades, where mastering your environment and being aware of your foes is essential for survival.

Among the various creatures you’ll encounter are Bees–majestic yet hazardous insects that can pose a threat or serve as valuable resources for crafting new tools. If you’re struggling to locate them, you’re not alone. Bees are elusive and typically found in select areas, but we’re here to help.

Locating Bees in Grounded 2

You can reliably find Bees atop a rock within the Ceremony area. After flying around, they often rest on this elevated spot.

To access the rock, you must navigate the spiderwebs connected to objects below, using them to ascend gradually. Upon reaching the summit, you’re likely to encounter at least one Bee, at which point you can engage in combat. Keep an eye out for the Scorpion, which patrols the rock during the day. Taking care of it will allow for an uninterrupted battle with the Bee.

Bees are typically inactive at this location during the night, so if you miss them during the day, returning after dark might increase your chances of finding them. Bees aren’t aggressive unless provoked, making them easier to handle. If they retreat into tall grass and become difficult to track, your next best bet is the Statue region adjacent to the gardens. Expect to use ranged weapons to attack a Bee for resource collection.

Strategies for Defeating Bees in Grounded 2

While Bees can be tough adversaries, they are generally easier to defeat compared to other insects in Grounded 2. Their primary attack is a Sting, where they dive towards you. It’s wise to dodge or parry this strike and continue your assault. Start with a charged melee attack to stun them, then switch to your ranged weapon, like a bow, for ongoing damage.

Using the Red Soldier Ant Buggy can be beneficial, as it can absorb some damage while you attempt to land critical hits on the Bee. The buggy also provides a getaway strategy from other predators that might disrupt your fight and potentially cause you to lose your backpack. I’ve frequently encountered the Scorpion interrupting my battles, so I found it helpful to construct a Lean-To nearby to respawn as needed and eliminate threats before targeting the Bee.

Rewards for Defeating Bees in Grounded 2

From Bees, you can acquire two items: Bee Fuzz and Sting, each serving distinct purposes. The Sting is crucial for crafting weapons like the Stinger Spear, as well as items like the Bee Face Mask and the Stuffed Bee decoration. In contrast, Bee Fuzz has multiple applications, primarily for creating armor pieces such as Bee Shoulder Pads and Guards for your legs. This armor is especially beneficial for players who prefer using bows, as it enhances damage output.

The Bee Fuzz is also essential for crafting additional armor components like the Fuzzy Hat, Parka, and Mukluks, enabling players to explore the colder regions of the map without discomfort. You can create dishes like Mac N Bees and various stuffed bugs utilizing the Fuzz.
