Steps to Unlock and Build a Hatchery

To unlock and establish a Hatchery for Buggies in Grounded 2, you must advance through the main storyline until you reach the Egg Hunt quest. This mission familiarizes you with the Buggy system, allowing you to raise, ride, and manage various insect mounts, such as the Red Soldier Ant and the Orb Weaver Spider.

Each Buggy has its own strengths, and before riding one, you’ll need to unlock and build both a Hatchery and a specific nest for the bug you intend to hatch. Once the Egg Hunt quest initiates, make your way to any Ranger Outpost and stop by the Science Shop.

At the Science Shop, you can purchase the Hatchery Bundle for 500 Real Science points. This bundle will unlock the blueprint necessary for constructing the Hatchery, which acts as your main facility for incubating Buggy eggs. To build the Hatchery, gather the following materials:
