Baldur’s Gate 3 features a third act that, although compact in terms of travel compared to previous chapters, offers rich environments and numerous secrets waiting to be uncovered. Through many hours of gameplay, players can harness the full potential of their characters, acquiring powerful weapons along the way.
While a character’s base stats influence damage output significantly, the choice of weapon is equally crucial. One notable weapon, Belm, is exclusively available in the third act and may require some effort to locate, depending on the choices made in the storyline.
How to Locate Belm in Baldur’s Gate 3
Belm becomes accessible as soon as players enter Baldur’s Gate or anytime thereafter, provided the final quest hasn’t commenced. Ideally, having Jaheria in your party will facilitate the weapon’s retrieval, although players can still manage without her, albeit with significant difficulty. Within Baldur’s Gate, navigate to the northwestern portion where the Baldur’s Gate waypoint is located.
Adjacent to this point is Elerrathin’s Home, which conceals Jaheria’s Hideout. If Jaheria is present, the inhabitants will be more accommodating. After introductions, head upstairs to encounter a boy named Tate. Engaging him while accompanied by Jaheria will prompt him to hand you the Harp-Shaped Pin.
In the absence of Jaheria, players may need to adopt a cunning approach to procure the Pin from Tate, such as through pickpocketing.
Various Harp-Shaped Pins are scattered throughout the game, some found in earlier acts. One of the easier ones can be discovered inside a bag on the roof of the aforementioned house if access is possible. Equipped with the pin, enter the back office on the first floor and interact with the left side of the desk to find a Pin Slot. Insert the pin to unlock the path to the Hideout.
Once within the Hideout, players can disregard traps if Jaheria is present and make their way to a small hut located at the back of the cave. There, they’ll find a large bookshelf with loose floorboards positioned just to its right. Checking this area reveals a key that unlocks the bookshelf. By selecting the first dialogue option with Jaheria, players can enter without any fuss. Inside the hidden cave, a chest awaits containing Belm.
Recommended Users for Belm in Baldur’s Gate 3
Belm is categorized as a finesse Scimitar, making it most effective in the hands of characters with high dexterity. It’s a prime one-handed weapon for classes such as Rogue, Ranger, or dexterity-focused Fighter. Additionally, Astarion or Jaheria can effectively wield this weapon even if your build is not the most compatible with it. Belm offers respectable damage output for a one-handed weapon, with its standout feature being the bonus action attack, «Perfectly Balanced Strike,» which delivers significant damage.
