For PvE, the perk selection for Ribbontail is straightforward. The Subsistence perk allows for partial reloading after defeating an enemy. You can choose between Detonator Beam for dealing with single targets or Killing Tally for taking out multiple enemies.

While Ribbontail may not excel as much as Unsworn in terms of Strand synergy, it can potentially deliver better damage by utilizing the Tenacity Origin Trait. This trait grants increased damage, reload speed, and handling for each kill made nearby enemies, up to a maximum of 10 percent damage boost at full stacks.

A more specific PvE strategy might incorporate Proximity Power alongside Surrounded, allowing you to maximize Tenacity by engaging enemies closely. Proximity Power enhances your melee capabilities, whereas Surrounded provides a significant damage increase when surrounded by three or more foes.

In PvP, trace rifles typically aren’t top choices for Special weapons. However, if you’re interested in experimenting, Transcendent Moment enhances range and aim assist, while Killing Tally boosts damage following a successful kill.

How to Acquire Ribbontail in Destiny 2

Ribbontail can be obtained during the Arms Week event in Destiny 2. Players can farm Combat Telemetry by participating in activities within the Portal and then trade it for Arms Week engrams from Ada-1 at the Shooting Range. These engrams can be focused on specific weapons or opened directly at Rahool.
