The competitive game SUPERVIVE, created by Theorycraft, merges MOBA and battle royale elements and features a ranking system. For players seeking to advance their skills, a specialized ranked mode with a dedicated ladder and exclusive rewards is available.
To access the ranked mode in SUPERVIVE, you must reach Hunter’s Journey level 20. New players can expect to achieve this milestone within approximately 10 hours of gameplay. Similar to other competitive games, the ranked system in SUPERVIVE is designed to offer suitable challenges for every player. The matchmaking process in ranked mode is complex, considering the game’s blend of different competitive styles.
Below, you will find everything you need to understand about the ranking system in SUPERVIVE, including the ranks, the factors influencing your rank, and what to anticipate during your initial ranked matches.
Ranks in SUPERVIVE
The ranked system in SUPERVIVE consists of eight ranks, organized similarly to other competitive games. There are six ranks divided into four tiers each, alongside the Grandmaster rank, which has no limit on ranked points (RP), and the Legend rank, which includes the top 100 Grandmaster players.
Here’s a list of all the ranks in SUPERVIVE:
- Bronze IV-I
- Silver IV-I
- Gold IV-I
- Platinum IV-I
- Diamond IV-I
- Master IV-I
- Grandmaster
- Legend (Top 100)
Your journey begins at Bronze IV, and you’ll require 200 RP to progress through each division. To reach Grandmaster, a total of 4,800 RP is necessary. As you move up the ranks, you will unlock various rewards, including a glider and a distinctive border.
How to Rank Up in SUPERVIVE
Progressing in SUPERVIVE is influenced by four main factors: ante, placement, performance, and bonuses. These elements collectively determine the RP you will either gain or lose after each match.
Ante
The first aspect affecting your ranked journey in SUPERVIVE is the ante, a mechanic that requires players to pay a certain amount of RP to enter ranked matches, akin to systems in Warzone or Apex Legends. The RP required to join matches varies by rank, with lower ranks costing less RP.
The breakdown of costs is as follows:
| Rank | RP Cost to Participate in a Ranked Match |
| Bronze | 10 |
| Silver | 20 |
| Gold | 25 |
| Platinum | 25 |
| Diamond | 30 |
| Master and above | 35 |
At the Grandmaster level, the ante rises by one RP for every 200 RP accumulated. Other factors that can impact your rank include placement, team kills, and bonuses that reward players based on their in-game performance.
Placement
If you manage to survive and secure a first-place finish, you will receive the highest RP available in that match. Additionally, RP can be earned based on your placement, up to the tenth position; however, no RP is awarded for placing ninth or tenth (in a ten-team lobby).
Here’s how RP is distributed based on placement:
| Placement | RP Awarded |
| First | 40 |
| Second | 30 |
| Third | 25 |
| Fourth | 20 |
| Fifth | 15 |
| Sixth | 10 |
| Seventh | 10 |
| Eighth | 10 |
| Ninth | 5 |
| Tenth | 5 |
| 11th | 0 |
| 12th | 0 |
Performance
Your RP earnings are also influenced by the number of kills secured by your team. Each defeated team grants 12 RP, with later kills providing bonus RP. Eliminating teams with fewer deaths also yields higher rewards.
Bonus
Bonus RP earnings depend on individual performance and can differ among players. This component is useful for assessing your skill level relative to others in the match.
Bonus RP is determined by two criteria:
- Performing better than higher-ranked players in your lobby.
- Your skill exceeds your current rank.
Thus, while you and your teammates earn RP based on placement and kills, individual performances will also impact the bonus RP awarded after each ranked match.
Overall, the ranking system in the SUPERVIVE alpha version appears to be thoughtfully designed, addressing common issues such as player throwing and unclear rank progression often seen in other competitive games like League or VALORANT.
