The latest update for V Rising, titled Invaders of Oakveil, has introduced a wealth of new features, including various weapons, an expansive woodland environment, and additional V Blood bosses. Players should brace themselves, as these new bosses have proven to be quite formidable.
V Rising continues to expand its roster of bosses, and the recent Invaders of Oakveil update further increases this list. Not all of the bosses from the update are exclusive to the late-game; to help you gear up for upcoming encounters, here’s a comprehensive overview of all the bosses that the Oakveil patch includes.
All Invaders of Oakveil Bosses in V Rising
There are a total of seven bosses introduced in the Invaders of Oakveil update. Players will start encountering them as they make their way through the Dunley Farmlands. Remember to upgrade your gear and ensure your character build is effective before tackling these bosses.
Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier (Level 46)
- Location: Horse Racing Track (Western Dunley Farmlands)
- Unlocks: Cyclone, Ball Lightning, Discharge, Stables (and Stable decor)
Sir Erwin is unique because he is a genuine knight who fights on horseback. This makes him somewhat challenging to fight as a melee character, given his constant movement. It’s advisable to use ranged weapons like bows or crossbows or to sneak in hits with maces or axes.
Gaius the Cursed Champion (Level 55)
- Location: Colosseum (Northeast Dunley Farmlands)
- Unlocks: Bone Explosion, Corrupted Skull, Ward of the Damned, Arena station (and decor), Twinblades
To summon Gaius, interact with the war banner inside the Colosseum. He wields Twinblades and is generally easier to defeat; you can lure him to the edge of the arena and knock him into the miasma for significant damage. Defeating Gaius grants access to the Arena Station, allowing players to challenge one another.
Stavros the Carver (Level 75)
- Location: Carver’s Logging Outpost (West Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Rain of Chaos, Void, Chaos Barrier, Advanced Sawmill, Purple Castle Teleporter, Weapon Coatings
Stavros poses a challenge due to his attacks that create pools of venom, complicating melee combat. Utilizing ranged weapons or magic and exercising patience are key strategies for victory.
Jakira the Shadow Huntress (Level 75)
- Location: Patrolling the roads of South Oakveil
- Unlocks: Curse, Mosquito, Mist Trance, Slashers, Elixir of the Twisted
Jakira is similar to other characters who patrol and hunt, employing stealth and the ability to turn invisible. Damage-over-time spells from Chaos magic can reveal her position. Defeating her rewards players with craftable Slashers and the recipe for the Elixir of the Twisted, enhancing spell effectiveness for an hour.
Lucile the Venom Alchemist
- Location: Venom Mixing Outpost (Central Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Carrion Swarm, Blood Fountain, Sanguine Coil, Blood Homogenizer, Stand with Flask and Burner
Lucile is a ranged fighter accompanied by summoned Golems. Although she moves frequently, you can land hits with some patience, possibly using minions to redirect her focus. Defeating her unlocks the Blood Homogenizer, allowing for potion effects to be combined.
Dantos the Forgebinder
- Location: Venom Blades Bastion (Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Crystal Lance, Arctic Storm, Frost Barrier, Fusion Forge, Ember Glass
Engaging Dantos is intriguing as the arena is part of the fight itself. His straightforward moves blend with environmental hazards, complicating the battle. Defeating him unlocks the Fusion Forge, enabling players to enhance their Ancestral Weapons or Jewels.
Megara the Serpent Queen
- Location: Venom Blades Bastion (Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Pedestal of the Serpent, Dracula’s Leggings (Shadow, Grim, Maleficer, and Dread variants)
As the ultimate boss of the Invaders of Oakveil update, facing Megara is a significant challenge. She will test your build and skills in an expansive arena, and upon her defeat, you will earn the Soul Shard of the Serpent, provided no one else on the server has claimed it first. Soul Shards grant substantial boosts and powerful abilities, with only one of each type available at any given time.
