In their initial match in the lower bracket, G2 Esports faced defeat against FlyQuest, while MKOI’s journey ended against the surprising underdog CFO. FlyQuest progressed the furthest among Western representatives before being eliminated by BLG.

In an interview with Caedrel, Wong «Tabe» Pak Kan, the coach for Anyone’s Legend, shared insights on the contrasting approaches of Western and Eastern teams. He highlighted that his team operates under a demanding regimen, stating, «We’re a very hardworking team. Two blocks (of scrims) are impossible. For me, three blocks is common sense: 2pm-7pm-10pm. Our resting period is from 12-1am, and afterwards, we join ranked matches from 3-4am.» This reflects the intense training schedule his team maintains compared to European squads, who typically fit two scrim blocks into their day.

Tabe elaborated on their unique routine, mentioning, «We never have breakfast as we wake up at 1:30pm.» His team often plays five matches in each scrim block, especially after implementing the Fearless Drafts.

When questioned about Europe’s early exit from MSI 2025, Tabe emphasized the need for teams to reflect and identify what went wrong in their performances. He noted that swift decision-making and lane control are crucial for keeping the game’s tempo. «If you invest time, there is hope. If you don’t and are complacent, then you have no hope at all,» he pointed out.

At MSI 2025, FlyQuest stood as the sole representative from the West but suffered a loss to Bilibili Gaming in a critical elimination match. Now, the tournament is left with only Chinese and Korean teams competing.
