The Surgery Table is an exciting new feature in Palworld, included in the Tides of Terraria Update. Available for unlocking at level 36 with 3 Technology Points, this workbench enables players to adjust the passive abilities of any Pal for a coin fee, allowing the removal of less desirable passives in favor of more beneficial ones, provided you have the required funds.
This tool also provides the option to change the gender of your Pals, provided you possess a special item available through select NPCs, which is particularly useful when attempting to breed specific Pals.
How to Acquire the Surgery Table in Palworld
To utilize the Surgery Table, it first needs to be unlocked in the technology menu. This requires reaching level 36 and spending 3 Technology Points, in addition to being capable of producing refined ingots and high-quality cloth. You will need to unlock the Improved Furnace at level 34 to create refined ingots, which require 2 ore and 2 coal each. High-quality cloth can also be unlocked at level 36 for 2 technology points and crafted at a High-Quality Workbench using 10 pieces of cloth.
Creating the Surgery Table necessitates 30 Refined Ingots and 20 pieces of High-Quality Cloth, equating to 60 ore, 60 coal, and 200 pieces of cloth if you are manufacturing everything from scratch. Alternatively, High-Quality Cloth can be obtained from Sibelyx if you’d prefer not to craft it yourself.
Utilizing the Surgery Table in Palworld
Once the Surgery Table is established at your base, you can use it to change or add passives to your Pals. By selecting a Pal in the Surgery Table interface, you can click on any of their current passives or an empty slot to reveal a list of available passives. For a cost ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 coins, you can replace an existing passive with one from that list. Although many options are available initially, additional passives can be unlocked through specific implant items.
Implants such as Artisan, Burly Body, and Musclehead can be acquired from Vigilante Bounty Officers, typically located at various NPC settlements throughout the game. Meanwhile, Runner, Infinite Stamina, and Serenity implants are available from the Arena Merchant, situated at the eastern edge of the map, south of the Desert Tower. Acquiring one implant from each type will permanently unlock that passive in the Surgery Table, making it a valuable investment.
