To unlock The Forgotten as a villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to complete the A Forgotten Name quest. The activation of this quest can be somewhat unpredictable, as there are no definitive prerequisites. It may commence immediately, or it might take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to appear in your quest log. If the quest doesn’t show up, try finishing any of the main story quests and The Forgotten’s specific quests in DDV. The personal quests include The Magic in Everything, Acts of Care, and Poetic License.

After starting the A Forgotten Name quest, The Forgotten will present players with a feather and guide them to Skull Rock, a place filled with nostalgic memories from their past adventures. Emotionally moved, The Forgotten expresses a desire for a proper name. Players will then be able to choose from three suggested names (Onyx, Jet, or Obsidian) or create a custom name of their choice. From that point onward, The Forgotten will adopt the chosen name as their own.

Once a proper name has been assigned, The Forgotten is officially integrated into Dreamlight Valley as a villager. Players can now develop their friendship, assign them a role, hang out with them, and earn rewards through friendship activities.

Skull Rock Island is located to the southeast of The Dazzle Beach. While it has been part of the game since its inception, it was only made accessible through the Mysteries of Skull Rock update.
