Completing The Music’s on the Walls Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

If you’re looking to bring Peter Pan into your village in Disney Dreamlight Valley, one of the primary tasks you must complete is called The Music’s on the Walls.

This enchanting mission requires you to go on a scavenger hunt to uncover treasures and luminous musical notes. Below is an exhaustive guide to The Music’s on the Walls, detailing every essential location and solution to the riddles you will encounter.

Steps to Complete The Music’s on the Walls

You need to have all biomes unlocked to successfully finish this quest.

Before you can begin The Music’s on the Walls quest in the DDV Mysteries of Skull Rock update, there are several other quests you must complete.

Initially, ensure that every biome is accessible, and that you have unlocked both Olaf and the Fairy Godmother in your village.

The quests that precede The Music’s on the Walls are Shadows on the Wall and A Ship of Gold. Completing these will involve finishing the Friendship quests from The Forgotten.

Exploring Skull Rock

Once you finish A Ship of Gold, The Music’s on the Walls quest will become available. Your first task is to follow The Forgotten into Skull Rock, converse with them, acquire the key located on the ground near the shadow, and chase after the sparkling musical note that drifts away.

Tip: Keep an Eye on Your Coins

As you progress through this quest, consider selling any excess items from your inventory, as one of the later steps involves constructing Peter Pan’s house, which requires 20,000 Coins.

Upon collecting the glowing note, a Memory will appear–make sure to examine it as it contains valuable hints for upcoming tasks.

Finding The Captain’s Chest

At this point, your quest log will instruct you to uncover another clue within Skull Rock and to unlock The Captain’s Chest.

Board the ship and navigate to the cabin on the main deck; use the key you secured earlier to unlock the wooden chest at the back of the room. Inside, you’ll discover a note accompanied by a treasure map.

Return to The Forgotten and discuss the treasure map to move forward. You will then need to locate the Buried Pirate Treasure along with five additional Glowing Musical Notes.

Locating the Buried Pirate Treasure

Despite being primarily a Peter Pan quest, The Forgotten is crucial in this challenge.

Begin by heading back to Dazzle Beach and taking the raft you initially used to unlock Ariel as a character, positioned just off the main coastline.

As you arrive on the island, turn left and dig up the treasure denoted by a pirate’s flag. Collect the loot that surfaces, which includes the Pan Flute, and make your way back to the raft to return to the Valley.

Finding All Glowing Musical Notes

Your next goal is to collect five Glowing Musical Notes. The Memory from earlier and your conversation with The Forgotten will guide you. These Glowing Musical Notes can be located in the following areas:

  • The Castle foyer, moving up and down the stairs
  • The treehouse within the Forgotten Lands
  • In the waters of Ursula’s cave
  • Inside the portal cave in Frosted Heights, trapped in an ice block
  • Back at Skull Rock, where the solution to the riddle is Pixie Dust

Once your quest log indicates that you’ve collected all five Glowing Musical Notes, return to The Forgotten and speak with them.

Completing the Musical Puzzle

Next, place the Glowing Musical Notes and the Pan Flute into the music stand. You will need to perform the entire musical score by using the buttons on the barrels to interact with each musical note on the wall, aligning them with the sheet music displayed.

Be prepared for some interference from Peter Pan’s shadow. After consulting with The Forgotten again, you’ll need to craft a Pixie Dust Lantern using the same materials as in the Shadows on the Wall quest.

Return with the newly crafted item to trap the shadow between the two walls, then solve the musical note puzzle once more.

Once completed, Peter Pan will appear, somewhat annoyed with your antics. To convince him to join your village, you’ll be required to engage in a game of hide and seek with him.

Engaging in Hide and Seek

When Peter Pan dashes away, head back to the Plaza and enter the portal located by the Castle entrance. He will be hiding inside the Dark Castle, so climb the path to enter.

Follow the trail of pixie dust scattered across the floor, which will lead you toward piles of glowing dust. After navigating through several doors, you will find Peter Pan and can discuss his potential move to the Valley. The only remaining task is to place his house in the Valley to officially welcome him as a villager.
