Initiating the Overture Expansion in Lies of P
Necessary Progress in the Story:
While many players are eager to explore the new features in the Overture DLC, certain steps must be taken beforehand. Unfortunately for newcomers, there are significant progression milestones to achieve before accessing this content. It won’t be as simple as starting a new game to access the new features.
To start the Overture expansion, you must complete Chapter 9. This chapter includes the pivotal moment when the Krat Hotel comes under siege, resulting in the destruction of numerous items within the premises. After you repair the Stargazer located in the main chamber, you’ll receive a notification that allows you to begin the DLC.
If you have finished the game and have not yet started a New Game Plus, you should automatically receive an item called the Star’s Chrysalis upon logging in. This item is necessary to access the Overture DLC.
Using the Star’s Chrysalis in Lies of P
Once you possess the Star’s Chrysalis, head to any Stargazer. You will notice a new quest notification in the «Teleport to Another Stargazer» section. Navigate to the Chapter 5 Stargazer options, where you’ll find this quest notification under the Path of the Pilgrim location. Travel to this site with the Star’s Chrysalis in your inventory.
Upon arriving at the Path of the Pilgrim Stargazer, a cutscene will trigger automatically. P will utilize the Star’s Chrysalis, which will create a path of butterflies to follow. Follow this path to the old Stargazer, now obscured by ivy. An Overture DLC prompt will appear; confirm your desire to start the DLC.
Another cutscene will play, leading you to the snowy landscape of the Forgotten Time region – this marks the official beginning of the new Overture DLC for Lies of P.
