Crystal Growth Codes for June 2025

Dead by Daylight has introduced an exciting crossover with Five Nights at Freddy’s by launching a new Chapter featuring Springtrap among the game’s horror legends. The Chapter brings Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria into the Fog as a fresh map, perfectly complementing Springtrap’s chilling abilities.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Springtrap’s debut, and it is a relief that Behaviour Interactive has meticulously crafted gameplay mechanics that align seamlessly with both Dead by Daylight and the beloved aspects of Five Nights at Freddy’s. Springtrap is one of the most intriguing villains introduced in Dead by Daylight, and survivors should anticipate encountering some distinct gameplay features when facing the Animatronic.

Release Date for Springtrap in Dead by Daylight

The Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter will be available on June 17, 2025, across all gaming platforms. This content will include Springtrap, the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria map, and additional FNAF elements.

Although the official release date is still ahead, players on PC can access the current update on the Dead by Daylight Public Test Build (PTB) and experience Springtrap and the new Pizzeria map right now. Console gamers will, however, need to wait until the full Chapter launches in mid-June.

Springtrap’s Unique Abilities

Known as «The Animatronic» in-game, Springtrap wields a special ability named Fazbear’s Fright, which adds a unique FNAF twist to the gameplay of Dead by Daylight. His primary attack features a fire axe that can be thrown at survivors. If struck by the axe, it embeds itself into the survivor, requiring them to remove it before they can receive any healing.

Moreover, Springtrap introduces a map mechanic called Security System. Seven randomly placed security doors will appear throughout the map during a match. Both Springtrap and the survivors can make use of these doors. Each door is equipped with a camera, allowing survivors to cycle through various camera feeds for all seven doors. If survivors peer through a camera and spot Springtrap, his aura will be revealed to them briefly.

Springtrap can also traverse the map via these doors. If he approaches a door being used by a survivor, a jumpscare animation will trigger, allowing him to seize the survivor. The doors and cameras feature a battery system akin to that in the FNAF games–while survivors interact with them, Springtrap can utilize the doors even when the cameras are out of power. This makes Springtrap’s power an intriguing blend of horror and strategy, creating a unique cat-and-mouse dynamic between the killer and the survivors.

Springtrap’s Special Perks

Springtrap will come equipped with three distinctive perks in Dead by Daylight. As with past killers, prestiging Springtrap will unlock these perks for use by other characters.

  • Help Wanted: When a compromised generator is finished, your successful basic attack cooldowns are reduced by 25/25/25% for 40/50/60 seconds.
  • Phantom Fear: If a Survivor situated within your Terror Radius glances at you, they will scream, revealing their aura for 2 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
  • Haywire: If exit gate switches have at least 50% progress, they will regress at a speed of 40/45/50% of the opening speed. Survivors will see the exit gate lights flicker while this regression occurs.

Springtrap stands out as one of the most innovative killers introduced in Dead by Daylight, providing a fresh experience for survivors compared to the typical killers they have faced. The FNAF Chapter offers plenty of thrilling content, and survivors should prepare their best strategies if they wish to emerge unscathed from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.
