There is an appealing element to CloverPit suited for various gameplay styles. Certain elements allow you to ban items during your gameplay, with Barathrum being able to ban a phone ability that you select. While it may seem counterproductive, this feature can significantly enhance your gaming experience.
Here’s everything you should know about the Barathrum charm in CloverPit, including its functionality and potential combinations.
Understanding the Barathrum Charm in CloverPit
Initially, Barathrum may appear to function similarly to the Depression charm, yet it is much simpler to exploit. The effect of Barathrum indicates that every time you select a phone ability, it gets banned, and upon discarding Barathrum, the phone ability is unbanned, allowing you to use it again. However, Barathrum can only ban one ability at a time.
By picking up a phone ability and subsequently discarding Barathrum, you can duplicate phone abilities. This could lead to merely gaining extra tickets or even extending the charm’s capacity, thereby creating chances to prolong your run.
Here are some phone abilities that can be paired with Barathrum:
- Please Don’t Throw My Stuff Away!: Permanently increase the charm’s space by one.
- Life Gave Me Lemons (or any alternative ability for other symbols): Lemons manifest more frequently (+1) permanently.
- I’m Gonna Go «All in!»: Increase the value of the seven by three times.
Barathrum can indeed be utilized with any phone ability, contingent on your run and current setup. It can even be combined with the Megaphone, which causes each phone ability to activate an additional time when acquired, amplifying the overall outcome.
Should there be no favorable phone call available, consider putting Barathrum in one of the drawers (remember, if forgotten, it will transform into a Corpse in the subsequent run) until a more advantageous situation arises.
How to Unlock Barathrum in CloverPit
To obtain Barathrum, you must collect 100 phone abilities. There is a tracker on the terminal that displays how many more are needed. There’s no shortcut to this requirement; you must pick up an ability whenever a phone rings. The only exception is when aiming for a secret 999 ending, during which picking up red abilities is prohibited.
