NAVI is testing Maryna Mospan as a performance coach for its main CS2 roster, potentially promoting a specialist who has already spent several years working within the Ukrainian organization’s player development system.

NAVI Head of Esports Amiran «ami» Rekhviashvili confirmed that Mospan is currently undergoing a trial with the Counter-Strike team. The organization has yet to decide whether she will take up the position permanently.

Mospan has worked with NAVI since 2021, primarily supporting younger players and members of the organization’s academy setup.

Among the players she previously worked with was Valerii «b1t» Vakhovskyi. The Ukrainian rifler came through NAVI Junior before joining the senior roster, initially as a sixth player in late 2020 before securing a permanent starting position in 2021.

His transition became one of the most successful examples of NAVI’s academy pathway. b1t helped the team win the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 without dropping a map and posted a 1.27 rating across the tournament. HLTV subsequently ranked him as the ninth-best player in the world for 2021.

Mospan’s trial follows a change in NAVI’s performance staff this summer. Urszula «Xirreth» Klimczak left the organization in July after joining NAVI in October 2023, when she was brought in to work with its Counter-Strike and VALORANT teams.

Her spell with the organization included NAVI’s victory at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the first Major held in Counter-Strike 2. Klimczak subsequently joined Astralis, taking on a broader performance role within the Danish organization in addition to supporting its Counter-Strike project.

Testing Mospan therefore gives NAVI the option of filling the vacancy with someone already familiar with the club’s development structure and several of its players rather than bringing in an entirely new specialist.

NAVI has not announced how long the trial will last or when a final decision on its CS2 performance coach is expected.
