Former BoostGate Esports players have alleged that the organisation still owes them a significant portion of their salaries following their time in Turkey’s League of Legends competition.
Former support Spyridon «Centu» Pantelopoulos said members of the previous roster are still waiting for two-thirds of their agreed salaries. Centu represented BoostGate from April until late June 2026 and said the players had initially attempted to resolve the situation privately.
Bot laner Ahmet «Mean» Battal also backed the claims, saying the payments remained outstanding and that the delay had continued beyond what could reasonably be considered a short-term issue.
The dispute comes during a difficult period for Turkey’s League of Legends ecosystem. Beşiktaş Esports and Papara SuperMassive exited the scene before the 2026 season, while ULF Esports, S2G Esports and Misa Esports subsequently departed during the year.
The BoostGate allegations therefore add another concern around the financial stability of the regional Tier-2 ecosystem, where reliable salaries and sustainable operating models remain important issues for professional players.
BoostGate had not publicly responded to the players’ allegations at the time of publication. The amount and status of the alleged debt therefore remain based on the accounts provided by Centu and Mean.
