Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator (UFDS) is expanding beyond pilot training with the launch of its first official competitive event. On August 1, the simulator will host Fight & Flight, an online FPV racing tournament that marks the debut of organized esports competition within the Ukrainian-developed platform.
The event is organized by Drone Fight Group in partnership with Victory Drones, while the Federation of Ukrainian Military UAV Pilots, PG Robotics, Bat Drones, Aratta and several other Ukrainian miltech organizations are supporting the competition. Both military personnel and civilian FPV pilots with basic or advanced flying experience are eligible to participate.
Competitors will race through a multiplayer course based on Snake Island using the simulator’s Multiplayer Racing mode. Qualification runs from 10:00 to 18:30, allowing unlimited attempts to improve leaderboard times. The top 16 pilots will advance to a single-elimination final beginning at 19:00.
The championship matches will be streamed live on Victory Drones’ YouTube channel, with actor and FPV enthusiast Yurii Hromovyi hosting the broadcast. Winners will receive FPV drones, components, merchandise and additional awards provided by Ukrainian technology partners.
The tournament follows the recent introduction of multiplayer support in Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator: Starter Edition, which transformed the platform from a single-player training simulator into a multiplayer experience featuring cooperative missions, PvP gameplay and competitive racing modes.
Originally developed as a realistic FPV simulator built on lessons from Ukrainian drone operators, UFDS has primarily served as a training platform. The launch of its first official racing event signals a broader ambition to establish competitive FPV racing as a new discipline combining simulation, esports and drone technology.
Registration for Fight & Flight remains open until 18:00 on August 1, after which the finalists will compete in what organizers describe as the first official FPV racing championship held inside a Ukrainian-developed drone simulator.
