Just a month has passed since the latest champion, Yunara, made her debut in League of Legends, and already she has made a remarkable entry into the professional scene by achieving her first pentakill.

During the LPL 2025 Split 3, GALA, the ADC for Invictus Gaming, showcased the Unbroken Faith as he dominated the competition against Anyone’s Legend in a crucial mid-game teamfight near the Atakhan. In a flurry of activity, GALA’s Yunara secured all five kills in quick succession, marking the inaugural pentakill for Yunara in professional League.

GALA has proven to be no stranger to pentakills, consistently delivering standout performances throughout LPL splits. This latest achievement elevates his career total to 10 pentakills, with half of them being executed on his preferred champion, Kai’Sa. Yunara is now the sixth unique champion for GALA to accomplish a pentakill with, underscoring his dominance in the ADC role.

Recently, T1’s ADC, Gumayusi, expressed his views on Yunara, labeling her as overpowered (OP). As players integrate Fearless Drafts into their strategies, Yunara’s value is rapidly increasing, positioning her as a favorable choice in the current meta across various esports regions.

While Yunara’s appearances are still emerging in major regions, her presence has been most notable in the LPL, where she has participated in five matches, securing three victories. As the meta continues to evolve, she is likely to gain higher priority status as either a pick or ban in upcoming games. If her pentakill serves as a sign, she may well be on a trajectory towards that goal.

After an underwhelming performance with LNG Esports in 2024, GALA appears to be thriving within the iG lineup, aiming to end LPL 2025 Split 3 on a strong note to clinch a berth at the World Championship later this year.
