1047 Games has rolled out a hotfix update for Splitgate 2, effective June 17. This patch introduces adjustments to weapon balance and enhances the new Battle Royale mode.

Adjustments to Weapon Balance
Assault Rifles Overview
All assault rifles have seen a reduction in damage drop-off ranges, making them less effective at extended distances.
- Previous Damage Drop-off Ranges: 0, 3000, 4500, 6000, 7500, 9000
- Updated Damage Drop-off Ranges: 0, 2500, 3750, 5000, 6250, 7500
Gravitas Shotgun [Power Weapon]
The Gravitas Shotgun’s primary shot now requires more ammo, while the secondary fire cost remains unchanged.
- Increased primary shot ammo cost from 1 to 2
- Note: Secondary fire cost is still 1
Cadence Carbine [Aeros]
This weapon has been adjusted to decrease its damage, while simultaneously enhancing its fire rate and headshot damage.
- Damage decreased from 26 to 25
- Fire rate increased by 3%
- Headshot damage increased from 37 to 37.5
Hyperline Carbine [Meridian]
This carbine has had its base and headshot damage lowered.
- Base damage reduced from 23 to 20
- Headshot damage reduced from 31 to 30
Proximity Mine Equipment [Sabrask]
- Explosion no longer pushes back affected enemies
Updates in Battle Royale Mode
- Server boot time for Battle Royale improved by 20 seconds (duration players wait on the SSL screen)
- Chance of an event occurring during each round decreased from 30% to 22.5%
- Duration of «Kill Mark» has been reduced from 3 seconds to 2 seconds
- Introduced a sound effect when attempting to loot an item without sufficient inventory space
- Resolved an issue preventing «Play Again» and «Main Menu» buttons from displaying after team elimination
- Fixed sound effects for Legendary items not playing correctly upon looting
- Addressed an issue where drop music would stop prematurely when detaching from the drop leader
- Fixed the ability to ping using the comms wheel while in the Splitblimp
- Corrected an issue causing enemy reveals on radar when moving between biomes
- Resolved a problem making portals shimmer instead of producing a stable image
- Fixed visual glitches with teammate death indicators appearing to fall through the map when spawning at a distance
Additional Bug Fixes
- Aim assist now activates cooldown upon any mouse input
- Fixed performance issues for players with many in-game friends
- Resolved visual bugs related to Nanoswarm skins that caused graphical issues before matches
- Fixed a bug that stopped players from equipping Nanoswarm upgrades for the Helios Pistol
- Corrected UI and Portal Wall visual issues in modes where portals are disabled
- Resolved an issue with advanced options getting stuck when exiting a custom match
The developers have announced that servers will be offline for approximately two hours, from 11 PM PT to 1 AM. Due to time zone variations, the update became available worldwide on June 18. The update size was 450 MB for players using Steam.
