Cultivate a Garden: Every Pet and Their Roles

Grow a Garden offers players a relaxing experience within Roblox, instantly captivating them from the onset. Yet, farming can sometimes feel a bit lonely, particularly if you lack in-game companions. Fortunately, the 1.04.0 update has added pets as delightful companions, significantly enhancing the gaming experience.

Not only do these charming creatures enliven your farm, but they also assist you in numerous ways. This guide outlines all the pets available in Grow a Garden and details their unique abilities.

Acquiring Pets in Grow a Garden

Players have the chance to collect up to 79 charming pets, but can only store 60 at once (unless additional storage is purchased), and only a limited number can accompany you on the farm. The primary method for obtaining pets in Grow a Garden is through Pet Eggs available at Raphael’s Stall or special event shops.

If you’re new to the game, Raphael’s Stall (offering Pet Eggs) is near the Cosmetics and Gear Shop. Here, you can buy six varieties of eggs, each yielding pets of various rarities. Keep in mind that only three types of eggs are available at any given time. Below is an overview of what you might encounter:

Pet Eggs Rarity Price Hatch Time
Common Egg Common 50,000 Sheckles 10 minutes
Common Summer Egg Common 1,000,000 Sheckles 20 minutes
Uncommon Egg Uncommon 150,000 Sheckles 20 minutes
Rare Egg Rare 600,000 Sheckles 2 hours
Rare Summer Egg Rare 25,000,000 Sheckles 4 hours
Legendary Egg Legendary 3,000,000 Sheckles 3 hours
Mythical Egg Mythical 8,000,000 Sheckles 5 hours, 7 minutes
Bee Egg Mythical 30,000,000 Sheckles 4 hours and 10 minutes
Paradise Egg Mythical 50,000,000 Sheckles 6 hours and 40 minutes
Bug Egg Divine 50,000,000 Sheckles 8 hours

While these eggs can be accessible at any time, some, like the Night Egg, Oasis Egg, and Dinosaur Egg, are exclusive to events. They can be found in event shops or occasionally in the Game Shop. With the introduction of the crafting mechanic, players can also create an Anti-Bee Egg using resources at the Crafting Table. Once you secure an egg, just place it in your garden and wait for it to hatch. If you need quicker results, use Robux or pets that enhance hatch speed.

Don’t forget, developers often distribute free pets during live update launches, so keep an eye out for these opportunities.

You can definitely improve your pet’s ability in Grow a Garden by aging it. They get better as they age. For example, they’ll be able to duplicate fruits more successfully, use their traits more often, and even have a higher likelihood of giving variants or seeds. To age your pets faster, make sure they’re well-fed and earning EXP by roaming freely or with the help of EXP-boosting animals. The best part is, just like crops, pets grow while you’re offline. You just need to watch their hunger bar, which goes down every 12 hours.

Leveling up pets is particularly beneficial for critters like Praying Mantis and Pigs (for top-tier mutations like Rainbow, Shocked, and Gold), and even for animals like Raccoons and Red Foxes, who help you obtain free fruits and seeds.

Do Pet Abilities Stack in Grow a Garden?

According to Grow a Garden’s official Discord, pet abilities do stack. This means you can get enhanced benefits from their combined traits. For instance, a Polar Bear has a slight chance of creating Chilled or Frozen fruits, but accumulating multiple of these pets can increase your mutation odds. If you have a Silver Monkey, you could leave many unique plants on your plot for added security, preserving your valuable crops post-sale.

This stacking also works for pets with similar traits. Having an Owl, Night Owl, and Blood Owl collectively can deliver a substantial experience boost for your active pets. For optimal results, look to unlock more pet slots (up to eight) to incorporate animals aligning with your objectives.
