The upcoming season of Delta Force is rapidly approaching, introducing exciting features for both Warfare and Operations modes. Players can look forward to a new Operator, an impressive map with distinctive elements and vehicles, new weaponry, and even a minimode.
Here’s an overview of what to expect in the Delta Force season titled War Ablaze.
Release Date for Delta Force Season War Ablaze
The War Ablaze season is set to debut on Tuesday, September 23. Players on mobile and PC platforms can start playing at 9 PM CT on September 22, while console players will need to wait an extra hour, with the servers launching at 10 PM CT. The update will require 24.2GB on PC and 45GB on consoles, so ensure you have sufficient storage available.
Here’s a countdown to track the time remaining until War Ablaze becomes active on PC:
New Features in Delta Force Season War Ablaze
Warfare Map: Fault
The new Warfare map, Fault, introduces several unique aspects. Similar to the Cyclone map featuring swimming and jet skiing, Fault adds dense fog as a unique weather condition that can significantly impact combat strategy.
If fog isn’t your style, you can soar through the skies aboard the F-45A fighter jet, a new vehicle perfect for engaging in dogfights over the beautiful ruins.
Recon Operator: Raptor
Introducing Raptor, the first Recon Operator added since the launch of Delta Force. His role revolves around surveillance and intelligence gathering using drones to disrupt opponents. Raptor’s passive abilities vary depending on the gameplay mode. In Warfare, your screen will light up if enemies are targeting you, enabling you to quickly deploy the Wing Cam. In Operations, enemies leave visible footprints that Raptor can scan to discover their Operator, equipment, and location.
The Wing Cam can be deployed to mark enemy positions; however, enemies can destroy it after some time, revealing Raptor’s location. The Silver Wing is a drone under your control that can mark targets within its 90-meter range and features an EMP grenade that can be released manually or triggered to self-destruct.
Additionally, Raptor is equipped with an EMP grenade that disables electronic devices, including various attachments and sights.
New Weapons: MK47 and Marlin Lever-Action Rifle
With the War Ablaze season, players can expect two new firearms: the MK47 assault rifle and the Marlin lever-action marksman rifle. It remains unclear if these weapons will be available for multiple classes, but the assault rifle is anticipated to be part of the Assault class while the lever-action rifle might fit the Recon class, complementing Raptor’s bounty hunter theme.
Team Deathmatch Minimode
In addition to the new map, a new game mode is being introduced: Team Deathmatch. This is an 8v8 mode focused purely on gunfights, with no vehicles allowed, until a team secures enough kills to claim victory. There are no opportunities for teammate rescues, Respawn Beacons, or other call-ins.
Updates for Operations Mode
In Operations mode, players can expect two new special missions within the Tide Prison: Operation Warden and Operation Raven. The missions involve infiltrating the Tide Prison to eliminate both Raven and the Warden. Moreover, the Layali Grove map has been updated to reflect the season’s themes with a Wildfire event.
This update also brings enhancements to console play, a new season pass, a loot ownership system for Operations, buffs to Tempest and Hackclaw, and a collaboration with SAW, which includes a distinctive skin for D-Wolf.
