Unravel the Mysteries of Conjuring the Bloodedge Demon in Nioh 3

In the highly anticipated release of Nioh 3, players will be introduced to an advanced exploration system that systematically marks collectibles on the in-game map. While the game provides cues for various collectibles, it interestingly keeps boss encounters shrouded in mystery. Among these formidable foes is the Bloodedge Demon, an encounter that players can summon after completing a series of initial steps.

The Bloodedge Demon stands out as one of the most challenging bosses encountered early in the game. Therefore, it is advisable for players to fully explore the game world and level up their character sufficiently before attempting this encounter. Here’s a detailed guide on how to summon this powerful adversary.

To initiate the summoning process, players must first locate any Revenant Grave and engage with it in battle. Upon defeating the revenant, players will notice small red orbs rising into the air, known as malice. Following the direction of these orbs is crucial, as they will guide players. An arrow appears on the map, pointing towards the next grave to find.

Your task is to continue discovering additional Revenant Graves that align with the arrows. Should you stray too far and find the arrow directing you backwards, it signifies the need to explore the middle ground of the previous graves.

Upon reaching the area where the Bloodedge Demon resides, players will encounter numerous Revenant Graves surrounding a prominent purple grave, which ominously states, «The malice of all Revenants defeated thus far is gathering.» It’s worth noting that the Bloodedge Demon can appear at different locations over time, affording players multiple opportunities to seek it out throughout their journey.

In terms of combat strategy, tackling the Bloodedge Demon is no small feat. Players are advised to be at level 40 or higher to stand a fighting chance. Despite reaching this level, caution is key, as the boss has an overhead slash attack capable of quickly turning the tide of battle–inflicting heavy damage that can take a player from full health to zero in an instant. It’s recommended to either block or deflect this attack using the Samurai fighting style, as most of the demon’s moves can be adequately shielded against, minimizing the risk of staggering.

The Bloodedge Demon employs elemental attacks using its katanas, unleashing both lightning and water moves. These can inflict status damage, leaving players vulnerable to successive strikes. Maintaining a moderate distance from the boss will allow players to react swiftly while dealing their own damage.

Utilizing Ninjutsu techniques, such as Fire Shuriken and Caltrops, can be advantageous in managing the demon’s aggressive attacks.

Once players successfully vanquish the Bloodedge Demon, they will be rewarded with a variety of rare items, including the coveted Soul Core, which can significantly aid them in upcoming battles. This formidable encounter not only tests players’ skill but also offers invaluable rewards that enhance their journey through the Nioh universe.
