Here, she will set them on a quest known as Fated Land, focused in the northern Ryotan Temple, which is historically tied to the Ii clan.

The Fated Land quest sends players on a mission to clear out yokai that threaten the temple’s sanctity. While the terrain may present its complexities, Naotora is present to provide guidance and support throughout the journey, and players can always call upon friends for additional assistance. After successfully completing this mission, adventurers are directed back to Naotora, who, recognizing their accomplishments, will reward them with the coveted Mountain Temple Key.

With this key in hand, players can finally attempt to breach the Hamamatsu Hill base. Once inside, those proceeding with caution will find that the stronghold is home to five distinct yokai. Most adversaries take the shape of lurking skeletons, and players can utilize scattered lootable items to unveil their positions. The final foe in this initial confrontation is a Ninja Yoki, which can be found among a patch of Spider Lily flowers in the central area of the temple grounds.

Defeating the yokai is only part of the challenge. Players must ascend to the pagoda at the summit of the temple to face the ultimate test: a samurai revenant. This ghostly warrior presents a predictable fighting style, and with the right approach–especially avoiding overly aggressive attacks–players will find themselves poised for victory.

As a strategic note, players should remember that weapons in Nioh 3 come equipped with special skills capable of inflicting significant Ki damage or overcoming enemy defenses.
