Navigate the No Rest for the Wicked Sacrament Quest: A Survival Guide to Avoid Getting Lost

In the action RPG «No Rest for the Wicked,» players embark on their very first quest, named «Sacrament,» which serves as more than just an introductory tutorial; it immerses them into the complex world of Isola Sacra with just the clothes on their backs and a singular goal. As players navigate this intricate environment, they may find themselves challenged by its design, heightening the quest’s difficulty and intrigue.

The journey begins on a desolate beach, where players must engage with a dying ship captain located at the left edge of the area to officially trigger the quest. However, it’s advisable to first venture north towards a suspicious puddle of murky water. Beyond this, players should take an eastward route to discover a hidden path leading back north. They’ll find a broken sewer grate that introduces them to a secret hideout containing a chest filled with random loot – an essential boost for those starting out.

Equipped or not, players should be cautious, as the game does not allow them to choose their initial weapons. In the absence of gear, mastering parrying techniques and executing unarmed backstabs can be crucial survival strategies against hostile encounters.

Upon returning to the ship captain, players need to cross a nearby bridge, leading them further along the beach to a dilapidated tower. This tower can be accessed through a gaping hole in the wall facing the water, where another pivotal element of gameplay, the Whisper, awaits. Whispers function as critical fast travel and respawn points integral to progressing in the game.

Continuing on, players venture north past a nearby campfire to locate the entrance of Mariner’s Keep, a stronghold fortified by Risen rebels. This location demands intense combat encounters, with players needing to remain vigilant since dying not only diminishes item durability but could potentially lead to the complete breakdown of their gear.

While exploring Mariner’s Keep, players will discover side paths that loop back but require thorough investigation for rewarding loot and experience. Notably, the door requiring the West Bridge Key will be inaccessible until later in the story, urging players to focus on other objectives first.

To proceed, players must clear the courtyard of enemies and seek out another Whisper near the bonfire by the stairs. From there, venturing eastward will reveal more foes and a locked gate needing a lever that can be retrieved by rescuing the blacksmith from nearby bandits in the mess hall.

Once the bandits are defeated and the blacksmith is saved, players can acquire the Gate Lever Handle, which is instrumental in using the lever located on the catwalk along the northern wall to unlock new areas.

Upon using the lever, a new route opens, guiding players to a bridge that must be lowered to access the next challenge. An elevator leads them up to a tower, where they will once again engage in combat, ultimately meeting a pair of NPCs who provide vital information.

From there, players can choose to engage in further battles by exploring paths that lead to multiple encounters or tackle the first major boss of the game, Warrick the Torn. This aggressive boss wields a massive sword and will test players’ skills in dodging and counter-attacking, with victory providing unique rewards.

After overcoming Warrick, the next goal is to ascend to the Rookery, the towering structure dominating the landscape of Sacrament. Players will receive guidance from NPCs along the way, and upon reaching their destination, interactions with key figures finalize the quest and open pathways to the larger narrative that lies ahead.

This first quest encapsulates the essence of «No Rest for the Wicked,» blending exploration, strategy, and intense combat while providing a challenging introduction that will set the stage for players’ future adventures in this richly crafted world.
