In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players can catch Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur in the area known as Wild Zone 20. However, this location will only be accessible after completing the game and watching the credits.

A Call from Mable
We aren’t certain what exactly triggers the Side Mission 022 from Mable, but we received a call from her after healing our Pokemon at a Pokemon Center, following the completion of our ninth Side Mission. At that time, we were also on our eighth main quest, which involved reaching Rank V. Some players have mentioned requiring Rank F, but this appears not to be necessary. If you haven’t started this quest yet, it might relate to your Research Rank with Mable.
Upon receiving the call and commencing the Side Mission, simply Fast Travel to the Pokemon Research Lab situated in the southern part of the city, right next to Wild Zone 1. Inside the lab, take the elevator to the top floor and speak to Mable. She will give you the option to choose one of the three Kanto starter Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
As a reward for visiting Mable and selecting one of the starters, players will receive 1000 Poke Dollars, three Extra Small Exp. Candies, and two small Exp. Candies.
How to Mega Evolve Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur in Pokemon Legends Z-A
The Stone Emporium located on Vernal Avenue, northwest of Wild Zone 1, will offer evolution stones and, eventually, Mega Stones for several Pokemon. As the narrative unfolds, players will be able to buy Stones for Mega Evolving Charizard and Blastoise, but these will come at a significant cost. Regarding Venusaurite, players can earn this special evolution stone through a unique battle later in the main storyline.
