His objective is to locate the grave of the original Votya, although the painter provides only vague directions. After finding the grave, Henry is required to offer a prayer for the two individuals.
Finding the Grave in the «God Disposes» Quest for KCD2
Upon reaching the village at the quest’s objective, players should follow these steps:
- Proceed northeast until a stream is reached, from which the remains of a collapsed barn become visible.
- Navigate through the barn until a fence is encountered.
- Just beyond this point, players will discover the Undecided Duel Point of Interest, with two deceased men on the ground.
- Continue walking roughly northeast along the field, keeping the fence and stream to the left.
- At the edge of the field, where it meets the forest, turn right.
- Proceed until a tree with three trunks and no leaves comes into view.
- The grave will be situated directly in front of this tree.
Once the grave is located, players can clean it up and say a prayer. Returning to Master Votya in Kuttenberg and informing him will conclude the quest, but extra dialogue opportunities are available to explore more about his past.
Examining the tree trunk closely will reveal an interaction prompt where Henry can notice the initials R + V + L. This enables an additional dialogue option regarding the painter’s real name upon returning.
Is Digging Up the Grave a Good Idea? – Rest In One Piece Achievement
After completing the prayer and hovering over the grave, players might find the option to excavate the grave. However, since this grave belongs to a friend of a friend, it isn’t advisable to disturb it.
If players are inquisitive, they can press the dig option three times until Henry eventually concedes. Inside, they will discover a headless skeleton, and Henry will reflect on the master’s painted skull. When they return to his workshop, players can confess to digging up the grave and ask about the skull.
Although Votya will be initially upset, there’s no need to worry, as he has done the same in the past, and the incident will be quickly forgotten.
