All You Need to Know About the Wine Cellar

The Wine Cellar serves as a cul-de-sac room that holds three Blue Prince gems. It may feature dig spots, especially after acquiring a Root Cellar upgrade. This straightforward room offers limited activities, yet it contains crucial hints for a subsequent puzzle, specifically in the coat of arms displayed above the table with the gems.

Accessing the Wine Cellar Number Puzzle in Blue Prince

There are diverse prerequisites to engage with the Wine Cellar number puzzle, which must be fulfilled prior to accessing the puzzle itself. Below are the elements required:

  • You must have located Room 46 in Blue Prince.
  • You need to have collected at least eight trophies.
  • You are required to have purchased the Blue Tents upgrade for 400 Blue Prince gold coins.
  • Refer to the documents received from Blue Tents located in the Mechanarium, Wine Cellar, Throne of the Blue Prince, and Vault.
  • Make sure to use the Burning Glass on the sundial situated in the Orchard, installing microchips into the sundial. Download the latest experiment pack from the computer and apply these during your crate tunnel cleanup.
  • A stone altar with a helmet will be found on the right side in the crate tunnel, which contains a key for the filing cabinet.

This cabinet key unlocks the filing cabinet located in the foreman’s office near the mining cart in the underground area adjacent to the large turning room. It will provide you with essential clues to decipher the numbers associated with the Wine Cellar.

The sequence MCCXIII needs to be interpreted per the noted blue instructions: which simplifies to M, CC, XI, II, or 1,000, 200, 11, 2. The calculation, therefore, formulates as: 1,000 ÷ 200 x 11 – 2 = 53. This result pertains to box 53 in the Vault, also referenced in the blue notes. Adding together the digits from 5 and 3 yields 8.

This means you can unlock Vault 53 using the eight-shaped key obtained from the Gallery, which is additionally employed to access Room 8 in Blue Prince.
