Team Spirit have claimed their second consecutive major Counter-Strike 2 trophy after defeating MOUZ in the Grand Final of BLAST Open Porto 2026. Cybersport In reports, citing HLTV, that Spirit won the best-of-five series 3-1, following up their recent triumph at Esports World Cup 2026.
The Grand Final took place on September 6. Spirit opened the series with a 13-8 victory on Dust2 before MOUZ responded by taking Mirage 13-11. The remaining two maps, however, were dominated by Spirit, who won Ancient 13-3 and Nuke 13-6 to secure the championship.
Team Spirit defeated MOUZ 3-1 in the BLAST Open Porto Grand Final, taking revenge for their defeat to the same opponent in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 final just over a month earlier.
The victory extended Spirit’s impressive run on the international CS2 scene. Before travelling to Porto, the team won Esports World Cup 2026, where Spirit defeated FUT Esports 3-1 in the Grand Final.
BLAST Open Porto therefore became Spirit’s second tournament victory in a row. The organization had not managed to win consecutive events since its successful run at IEM Cologne and BLAST Bounty Season 2 in 2025.
Danil «donk» Kryshkovets once again played an important role in Spirit’s success. The star rifler was particularly dominant on Ancient, finishing the map with a 2.39 rating. donk was later named the MVP of BLAST Open Porto 2026.
Dmitry «sh1ro» Sokolov was another key performer in the final, finishing the series with 70 kills and a 1.36 rating. Ukrainian player Myroslav «zont1x» Plakhotia also contributed to the victory, including a crucial 1v3 clutch on Ancient.
Spirit reached the BLAST Open Porto final after defeating Falcons 2-0 in the semi-finals, while MOUZ secured their place in the title match with a 2-0 victory over Vitality.
BLAST Open Porto 2026 featured 16 teams and a total prize pool and participation payments of $1.1 million. Spirit earned $150,000 in prize money for first place, with the organization receiving an additional $100,000 club share.
The back-to-back victories at Esports World Cup and BLAST Open Porto strengthen Team Spirit’s position among the leading teams in professional Counter-Strike 2 heading into the next stage of the 2026 season.
