In the Paper Chase mission of FBC: Firebreak, players will engage in three unique missions that progressively build on the challenges faced in prior tasks. This complete walkthrough will guide you on how to eliminate Sticky Notes, confront Shuffler enemies, and ultimately defeat the formidable boss, Sticky Ricky, at the conclusion of the third mission.
Mission 1 Walkthrough
How To Destroy Sticky Notes In FBC: Firebreak
The first Paper Chase mission requires players to obliterate vast amounts of Sticky Notes within a multi-story office complex. The initial area serves as an introduction, setting up objectives for the final mission that combines elements from earlier stages to create a comprehensive, multi-objective challenge.
Your main goal is straightforward: eliminate a specified number of Sticky Notes and return to the elevator. There are several methods to accomplish this, with the most effective being a combination of water and the Jump Kit’s Impactor weapon, allowing you to clear multiple stacks with a single hit.
Other strategies for destroying Sticky Notes in FBC: Firebreak include:
- Shooting Sticky Note piles: This method can eliminate them on impact, but it requires frequent trips back to an Ammo Station, making it less efficient.
- Allowing Sticky Notes to accumulate on yourself: You can then wash them off using the Shower or the Splash Kit’s Fluid Ejector. Just ensure you are not wet to allow the Sticky Notes to latch on.
- The upgraded Ejector from the Splash Kit: This acts as a flamethrower for a devastating effect, but securing enough Lost Assets to unlock this capability takes time.
Look out for ceiling sprinklers around the office; if activated, they will saturate nearby Sticky Notes, making them vulnerable to the Jump Kit’s Impactor. This tactic becomes crucial in later missions, especially against Shufflers, as their location remains consistent throughout the game.
If Sticky Notes accumulate excessively on your player, you risk transforming and must use the Shower or Splash Kit’s Ejector to cleanse yourself quickly.
Mission 2 Walkthrough
Defeat Shufflers To Eliminate More Sticky Notes
Once you successfully clear your Sticky Note quota and exit the Jobsite, you’ll automatically transition into the second mission of the Paper Chase. This stage mirrors the first, requiring you to eliminate thousands of Sticky Notes before proceeding.
As you advance to the second area, expect to encounter a new adversary: Shufflers. These fast, humanoid enemies have been entirely consumed by Sticky Notes. The same tactics used to eliminate Sticky Notes can also be effective against Shufflers. When they are doused in water–either from a teammate’s Splash Kit Ejector or ceiling sprinklers–they become momentarily stunned, allowing for easy defeat.
The objective in the second mission is to destroy even greater volumes of Sticky Notes, with numbers soaring into the hundreds of thousands. Although this seems daunting, each defeated Shuffler will yield large quantities of Sticky Notes, aiding in your mission progress.
Explore this area to find even more Shufflers and continue the hunt until you reach the required count. After activating the elevator and fending off ensuing Hiiss, plus an elite NPC, you will be ready to move onto the last section of the Paper Chase mission in FBC: Firebreak.
Mission 3 Walkthrough
How To Defeat Sticky Ricky In FBC: Firebreak
The Paper Chase’s third mission merges the previous missions and introduces a boss encounter with Sticky Ricky, formed from a multitude of Sticky Notes. Your goal is to navigate through the earlier rooms and face the boss using the environment of the arena to your advantage.
Clear the first two rooms by destroying Sticky Notes and dispatching Shufflers, then enter the boss arena for a confrontation with Sticky Ricky. Expect powerful attacks and extensive area damage that can severely impact your team unless they find shelter quickly.
Here are some strategies to successfully defeat Sticky Ricky and complete this final mission:
- Locate the broken machines on the edges of the arena and use the Jump Kit along with the Fix Kit to restore their functionality.
- Look for two switches on opposite sides of the arena.
- Activate both switches simultaneously, then unleash your grenades and firearms to inflict considerable damage upon the mountain of Sticky Notes.
- Repeat this process until you bring down Sticky Ricky and finish the Paper Chase mission!
Throughout the battle, ensure to maintain your cleanliness with the Splash Kit to prevent sticky status effects accumulating too quickly, as Sticky Ricky’s attacks will add to this burden. Staying close to teammates and regularly cleaning off your gear will help avoid overwhelming challenges during this encounter.
