Acquiring Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders

In Arc Raiders, players encounter a multitude of maps, each filled with various ARC enemies posing risks to all Raiders. The presence of these opponents, along with other online players, can considerably elevate the difficulty of specific missions. Despite the numerous challenges, players must complete diverse quests scattered throughout the maps.

One notable quest is the Trifecta, where players are tasked with collecting Snitch Scanners. This item is essential not only for the quest but also for players seeking to upgrade their Utility Station. Here’s a guide on how to obtain Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders.

How to Acquire Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders

The most common and effective way to gather Snitch Scanners is by defeating the Snitches themselves. These unique ARC enemies are non-hostile drones that hover above ground, scanning for life signs. If you trigger their alarms and fail to eliminate them quickly, they will send out a distress call, summoning reinforcements. It’s advised not to engage these reinforcements alone, as they typically appear as a trio consisting of one Hornet and two Wasps.

If you find yourself exposed while facing these enemies, it can be quite challenging to survive unless you can efficiently maneuver and have access to high-quality gear, which is often not the case. Snitches will ascend into the sky if not taken down swiftly, which means you might miss the opportunity to collect Snitch Scanners. A practical strategy for defeating them involves using two weapons and alternating between them when you run out of ammo. The Ferro and Anvil are excellent early-game weapons known for their Strong Arc Armor Penetration that can effectively tackle these foes.

Upon defeating them, you can loot their remains for a Snitch Scanner. One of the advantages of farming these items is the ability to spot Snitches from a distance and mark them for closer engagement. As they approach, you can shoot them down to secure the Scanners.

Open maps like Blue Gate or Dam Battlegrounds prove to be better locations for easily locating Snitches.

Snitch Scanners can also be recycled into valuable resources like ARC Alloys and Electrical Components. However, their primary utility lies in their ability to call in ARC reinforcements to a specific area when thrown. With multiple Scanners, you can sequentially toss them at opposing Raider teams and observe as the ARC forces efficiently handle the enemies.
