As the game progresses, players will gradually get familiar with the Z-Team, resulting in smoother dispatch sequences. Episode 5 of Dispatch kicks off after Robert spends some time with either Invisigal or Blond Blazer. Unlike previous episodes, the dispatch sequences take place at the beginning, saving all dialogue options for the latter part. Below is a list of the dialogue choices available in this episode and their corresponding outcomes.
This guide contains minor spoilers for the fifth episode of Dispatch.
Dispatch Episode 5 (Team Building) Walkthrough
The episode begins with Robert at the gym reflecting on a previous battle. While performing the Bench Press, Flambae comes to assist you, prompting the following dialogue options:
- I’m not an average person.
- Thanks for helping.
- Even heroes take damage.
You can choose any of the options above, which will lead to the first dispatch sequence of the episode. Don’t forget to pay attention to the highlighted words near each call to determine the best superhero to send for a higher success rate. This sequence introduces a new feature where a failed call is guaranteed if your stat goes beyond a certain threshold. This limitation will be clearly indicated, so avoid sending characters with high stats for those calls.
After the dispatch sequence concludes, you’ll find yourself in the break room where Malevola and Prism are discussing your identity. You can select any response, but keep in mind that it will be noted:
- I was blue.
- No hints, please.
- I have double-jointed abilities.
Once you exit the break room, the next scene shifts to Robert working on his suit while Chase is beside him. Chase will ask if you plan to kill Shroud, and your response will have lasting implications:
- Yes, I will.
- I’m uncertain…
- Heroes don’t take lives.
Following this, you enter the second dispatch sequence, featuring hacking sequences that involve redirecting electricity from selected points to forge a path. Subsequently, you’ll encounter Antivirus lurking, but you can zap them when in an overcharged state. Several calls will arise, so meticulously strategize which characters to deploy, ensuring you don’t exceed specific stat levels on certain calls.
After concluding the call, the team will invite you to the Sardine bar, where you can have a conversation with Invisigal if you chose to accompany her to the movies in the prior episode. You will encounter a dialogue choice, and Invisigal will remember your response, but the following cutscene will unfold in the same manner:
- I enjoyed it.
- Let’s remain friends.
- That wasn’t a date.
Following this conversation, you will engage in various dialogue exchanges with the team inside the bar:
- Option #1: (Any choice is valid)
- I’m a snitch.
- Is this your full-time gig?
- Your turn to pay.
- Option #2: (Any choice works)
- Is that all you’ve got?
- Stand down right now.
- I’m not finished with you yet.
- Option #3: (All responses are acknowledged, leading to the same result, but the last selection initiates a fight)
- Chill. I’m on my way out.
- Allow me to get you a drink.
- Since you insisted…
Once your discussion with Invisigal is cut short, expect a brawl within the bar, accompanied by multiple interactive prompts. Subsequently, the Z-Team is shown outside a restaurant enjoying food, and Punch Up will inquire who you are:
- I’m Robert.
- I’m Mecha Man.
This choice is pivotal in the episode, leading to varied outcomes primarily associated with Flambae. Choosing the first option prompts Flambae to question why you’re hiding your identity, but he eventually reveals his name. Opting for the second selection will see Robert announce he is Mecha Man, eliciting surprise from the group. Flambae will become upset and retaliate by directing fire towards you, but Golem will come to your defense.
If you previously selected Waterboy, he will also assist; otherwise, Malevola will douse Flambae with her drink, causing him to storm off in a huff. Regardless of the choice made, the scene culminates with everyone sharing their names as the episode draws to a close.
