Guide to Obtaining Every Tide of Terraria Pals in Palworld

The universe of Palworld has merged with Terraria in the expansive Tides of Terraria update, inviting players to embark on a journey filled with creatures inspired by the renowned pixel-art survival crafting title. This update allows players to explore dungeons, gather precious resources, and confront the formidable Moon Lord Raid Boss.

However, there’s more to this update–Tides of Terraria presents a fresh line-up of Pals. Some of these Pals are entirely new, while others are well-known characters from Terraria. Each Pal adds a unique touch to any player’s collection. Below is a guide on how to acquire every Pal featured in the Tides of Terraria enhancement for Palworld.

Herbil (No. 141)

Partner Skill Work Suitability

Herbil Pulse:

  • Can revive the player when incapacitated during a team encounter.
  • Level 2 Planting
  • Level 1 Transporting
  • Level 1 Gathering

The first Pal players can add to their collection from the Tides of Terraria update is Herbil. This small Grass/Neutral-type Pal is located on three major islands introduced in the update: Oasis Isle, situated east of the Dessicated Desert; Sunlit Isle, just south of Marsh Island; and the island providing access to the Sealed Realm of Terraria.

Icelyn (No. 142)

Frostplume (No. 143)

Next is another Ice-type Pal, Frostplume, a bird-like creature featuring a supportive Partner Skill. Similar to Icelyn, Frostplume is predominantly found on the Frostbitten Isle, located well south of the Sea Breeze Archipelago.

Palumba (No. 144)

  • Can be ridden and moves faster on grass (saddle required).

Continuing with bird-like Pals is Palumba, a Grass-type that also proves to be an effective ground mount. Its habitat includes both Oasis Isle, bordering the Dessicated Desert, and the island leading to the Sealed Realm of Terraria.

Braloha (No. 145)

Next up is Braloha, a Grass/Ground-type Pal providing valuable assistance to players looking to breed powerful Pals, as well as being beneficial for farming tasks back at the base. While Braloha is primarily found on the island leading to the Sealed Realm of Terraria, it can also roam around Oasis Isle, similar to Palumba.

Munchill (No. 146)

  • Helps cool food in the player’s inventory, reducing spoilage when in a team.

Munchill is a valuable addition for players wishing to prevent food spoilage. It can be found in various icy regions, such as the Frostbitten Isle and the Isle of the Glacial Core and can also be fished from the Frostbound Mountains (near the Free Pal Alliance Tower) and the chilly southern part of Feybreak Island.

Polapup (No. 147)

Rider of the Snowy Mountain:

  • Can be ridden and slides swiftly down slopes (requires harness).

Polapup is an Ice/Water Pal that serves as a mount while also specializing in watering and cooling functions at the player’s base. This Pal can be located on the Isle of the Glacial Core and can also be fished from the southern area of Feybreak Island.

Turtacle (No. 148)

  • Helps lighten the weight of the Armor in the player’s inventory when in a party.

Turtacle is a distinctive Water Pal helpful for players wishing to minimize armor weight. It can primarily be found on the Isle of Decaying Treasures, but anglers can also catch Turtacle on the Sunlit Isle and the Frostbitten Isle.

Turtacle can additionally be fished in several other locations including Windswept Hills, Sea Breeze Archipelago, Marsh Island, Eastern Wild Island, Bamboo Groves, Moonless Shore, Verdant Brook, Forgotten Island, and Ice Wind Island, though its appearance in these areas is more sporadic.

Turtacle Terra (No. 148B)

  • Lightens the weight of the Armor in the player’s inventory while in a party.
  • Boosts the attack power of Ground Pals.

Turtacle Terra can also be caught by fishing. This Ground/Water-type Pal can be found throughout the Desiccated Desert, alongside locations such as Oasis Isle, Sealed Realm of Terraria, and Arena Entrance.

Jellroy (No. 149)

  • Increases watering speed when paired with Jelliette in your base.

Next is Jellroy, a Water/Dark Pal that works effectively alongside Jelliette. It predominantly resides on the Phantom Isle, located northwest of Mount Obsidian. Jellroy appears during the day on the Phantom Isle and can also be captured during the night.

Jelliette (No. 150)

It can be found both day and night on the Frostbitten Isle and can also be fished from locations such as the Isle of Decayed Treasures, the Sunlit Isle, and potentially others like the Eastern Wild Island, Marsh Island, Windswept Hills, Forgotten Island, and Ice Wind Island.

Gloopie (No. 151)

Sticky Princess:

  • Slows down the fishing capture gauge while fighting together, even when the bars do not overlap.

Gloopie is a Water/Dark-type Pal known for its passive demeanor in the wild, making it easier to capture. It primarily spawns during the day on the Isle of Decayed Treasures and can also be fished from the southern regions of Sakurajima Island and around Mount Obsidian during the night.

Finsider (No. 152)

  • Reduces the weight of weapons in a player’s inventory while assisting with transport.

Finsider is a vibrant Water-type Pal aiding in weight reduction for weapons, as well as contributing to transporting and watering tasks. It is usually found on the Sunlit Isle, located south of Marsh Island, but can also be fished near the coastlines of the Desiccated Desert and Deep Sand Dunes, as well as on Oasis Isle.

Finsider Ignis (No. 152B)

Ghangler Ignis (No. 153B)

  • Acts as a water mount (saddle required).
  • Drastically decreases the time it takes for Pals to bite when fishing.
  • Level 3 Kindling
  • Level 2 Transporting
  • Level 4 Watering

Ghangler Ignis is exclusively obtained through fishing, with the best locations being throughout all major regions of Feybreak Island, except the cold southern region. Additionally, it can also be caught near the Oil Rig close to Feybreak and at the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary.

Whalaska (No. 154)

Partner Skill Work Suitability

Chilled Whale Cruiser:

  • Can be ridden (saddle required).
  • Assists players in fishing mini-games by pre-filling the capture gauge.
  • Increases the capture gauge rate when portions overlap.
  • Level 3 Watering
  • Level 4 Cooling

Whalaska is among the larger Pals players can encounter, serving as both a Water and Ice-type Pal. It can be discovered on the Isle of the Glacial Core at any time of day. Additionally, players may encounter an Alpha Whalaska in the waters north of the Astral Mountains.

Whalaska can also be retrieved from the southern cold region of Feybreak Island, and players may also catch it near the Oil Rig off Feybreak, along with another Oil Rig situated close to Marsh Island.

Whalaska Ignis (No. 154B)

Cozy Whale Cruiser:

  • Can be ridden (saddle required).
  • Serves a similar role to Whalaska but increases attack power for Fire Pals.
  • Level 3 Kindling
  • Level 4 Cooling

Following Whalaska is Whalaska Ignis, an Ice/Fire-type Pal that is primarily available as an Alpha Pal, which can be found off the coast of the Beach of Everlasting Summer near Mount Obsidian. Additionally, players may also catch Whalaska Ignis while fishing around Feybreak Island and the Oil Rig close to Feybreak.

Neptilius (No. 155)

Sentinel of the Great Sea:

  • Executes follow-up Spear Strikes during player attacks in a team.
  • Can also function as a Water Mount, enabling leaping abilities (saddle required).
  • Level 1 Transporting
  • Level 2 Watering

Neptilius is another Alpha Pal that players can add to their assortment, classified as a Water-type Pal. To locate and capture Neptilius, players should travel to the Isle of the Glacial Core, situated northwest of the Deep Sand Dunes. Here, players can find Neptilius within the Sealed Realm of the Glacial Core, which is accessible from the island’s fast travel point.

Pengullet Lux (No. 10B)

Killamari Primo (No. 23B)

Celaray Lux (No. 24B)

Dumud Gild (No. 43B)

Dumud Gild presents a valuable variant for those focused on maximizing their High Quality Pal Oil and Gold Coin outputs. It can be located within the Sealed Realm of Terraria or caught in several water bodies in the Dessicated Desert and nearby Oasis Isle.

Azurobe Cryst (No. 82B)

Azurobe Cryst is an Ice/Dragon Pal functioning as a water mount, and it can only be fished up, typically found in the cold southern part of Feybreak and at the Rayne Syndicate Platform Oil Rig.

Croajiro Noct (No. 114B)

Croajiro Noct acts as a special variant of previously seen Pals, and it can only be acquired through fishing, typically available in the waters around Sakurajima Island.

All Terarria Pals

The final set of Pals consists of creatures from Terraria, found in the Sealed Realm of Terraria, accessible from a small island at Fisherman’s Point. While these monsters may not appear in the Palpedia, they can be captured similarly to any other Pal.

Slime

Partner Skill Work Suitability

Slime Body:

  • No saddle needed for riding.
  • Can jump high while mounted.

Slimes are prevalent enemies in the Sealed Realm of Terraria and come in various colors, each representing a different element. Despite their differences, all Slimes generally possess similar characteristics, with their elemental attacks being the only distinction.

Demon Eye

The Demon Eye represents another common enemy found in Terraria, taking the form of a Dark Pal in Palworld. Demon Eyes are unique as they provide a beneficial buff to other Dark Pals.

Enchanted Sword

  • While in a team, Dark Pals drop more items upon defeat.

The Enchanted Sword isn’t as common as the aforementioned enemies but can be found within cave areas in the Sealed Realm of Terraria. This Pal is advantageous for increasing loot drops from Dark Pals, making it a beneficial addition to any player’s collection.

Cave Bat

Partner Skill Work Suitability

Bat Backup:

  • Automatically picks up items near the players while in a team.

Cave Bats are yet another enemy type that, much like the Slimes, appear in multiple forms. Upon capture and inclusion in the party, the Cave Bat will automatically appear without being summoned, offering the ability to efficiently pick up nearby items.

Eye of Cthulhu

Mad Eye Lunge:

  • Charges and attacks a targeted enemy when activated.

Last but not least, the Eye of Cthulhu serves as the final boss players face at the conclusion of the Sealed Realm of Terraria. This Dark Pal has unique skills, making it an exceptional choice for tackling tougher challenges within the game.
