When playing solo in PEAK, you might feel isolated, but there are always threats lurking. While the game isn’t primarily focused on combat–unless you count tossing coconuts at fellow players–some creatures are definitely best avoided. Let’s explore the various monsters and adversaries you may encounter in PEAK and the best strategies to handle them.
List of Enemies and Monsters in PEAK
As you venture through different biomes, you will encounter a range of plants and creatures; some can aid your journey while others pose significant dangers. Running into aggressive foes or toxic entities in PEAK can hinder your progress by decreasing your stamina, making climbing increasingly difficult.

| Jellyfish | The Shore | Avoid stepping on these slippery creatures; while they don’t deal significant damage, they’ll knock you back. |
| Sea Urchins | The Shore | These large, spiky, and poisonous organisms can inflict harm if touched, so it’s best to steer clear of them. If you do get stung, simply wait for the poison to subside. |
| Bees | The Tropics | Hives can be found clinging to trees in the Tropics biome. If you’re daring, strike the hive to gather honeycomb, but be wary of the aggressive bees that will defend their home! |
| Ticks | The Tropics | Ticks can latch onto your leg unexpectedly, and you’ll not notice until they start to inflict poison. Unfortunately, in solo mode, the only remedy is to wait for the tick to enlarge enough to grab. If teamed up, ask a partner to help remove it. |
| The Scoutmaster | Any biome | The Scoutmaster appears when you blow the Scoutmaster’s Bugle or if you stray too far from your group. Once he spots you, he’ll chase after you until he catches up and knocks you back. The strategy to outsmart him is to climb downwards and hope he stumbles while pursuing you. Surviving an encounter with the Scoutmaster earns you the Mentorship Badge and the Inverted Eyes cosmetic. |
