Shortly after beginning their adventure in Keeper, players encounter a town with the Horologe, a large robot that isn’t functioning properly. The robot features three circles marked with a sun, a setting sun, and a moon. To progress through this area, players need to place amulets into these circles. This guide aims to assist players in navigating their way out of the sun and moon robot town in Keeper.
It’s important to note that shining your light on the suns, setting suns, and moons scattered throughout this area in Keeper activates a time-travel mechanism. Specifically, setting suns transport you to the past, suns present you with the current moment, and moons carry you into the future.
Solutions for the Sun & Moon Robot Town Puzzles in Keeper
Journey to the Sun Temple
Start by directing your light on the setting sun located to the left of the robot to clear the left path (turning the bird into an egg in the process). At the end of this path, focus your light on the sun to create a bridge leading to the sun temple, then shine your light at the entrance of the temple to open it.
Inside the Sun Temple
Once you enter, proceed forward into a room where a door is obstructed by vines. Shine your light at the right-side vines to retract them and guide the bird onto the gear that extends from the exposed door. Keep your light focused on the right vines.
Use the bird to shift the gear to the left. When the bird is halfway to the door, focus your light on the left vine to make it retract, then move the bird all the way to the left to unlock the door.
In the subsequent room, direct the bird to the gear extending from the door. Push the gear completely to the right, then switch to the red crank at the top of the puzzle. Wind the crank counterclockwise until the extended gear is at the top. Shift to the extended gear and push it down. Alternate back to the red crank, winding it clockwise until the extended gear is positioned to the right, then push the gear into the hole that opens the door.
In the final chamber of the temple, position the setting sun on the left arch, the full sun in the center, and the moon on the right. Here’s how to accomplish this:
- Move the bird to the moon, shifting it to the right but stopping just past the midpoint.
- Switch to the setting sun and position it fully to the left.
- Return to the moon and move it to the midpoint.
- Switch to the full sun, moving it to the left but stopping just after the midpoint.
- Take the moon all the way to the right.
- Shift the full sun to the midpoint.
Heading to the Setting Sun Temple
Players can now proceed to exit the sun temple, collecting the sun amulet from the exit door as they leave. Afterward, return to the robot and follow the path located behind it. If this path is obstructed, direct your light toward the sun positioned in front of the broken path.
At the path’s end, look left to send the bird to the crank extending from the tall structure. Wind the crank clockwise to open two gates and descend the stairs that are now accessible. Shine your light on the setting sun at the bottom, then return to the top of the stairs. Players should discover a bridge leading to the setting sun temple. Focus your light on the front of this building to unveil its entrance.
Inside the Setting Sun Temple
In the initial room of the temple, direct your light at the full sun embedded in the wall to transform the egg back into a bird. Next, guide the bird to the left-side post and shine your light on the setting sun set in the wall to lower the post and open the door.
Go through the door and shed light on the back of the full sun in the wall to regain the bird. In the next space, cast your light on the ovular section of the wall next to the setting sun to reveal a post for the bird to fly to. Once that post sinks, return the bird and send it to the newly appeared post in the adjacent wall. Focus your light on the setting sun to lower this second post and open the door.
After passing through, shine your light on the full sun in the wall to recover your bird, then move into the next room. Follow these steps to open its door:
- Send the bird to the gears embedded in the wall.
- Focus your light on the setting sun on the right.
- Direct your light at the vines to the right of the door.
Players can now slip through the door, reclaim their bird by shining light on the full sun embedded in the wall, and head toward the temple’s exit. Here, they’ll locate the setting sun emblem and should shine light on it after exiting.
Journey to the Moon Temple
Players should now return to the robot, focusing their light on the full sun behind it. Proceed to the robot’s right, sending the bird to the crank extending from the building, and wind it to open a gate.
Pass through this gate and focus your light on the moon at the end of the path. Next, send the bird to the crank on the opposite side of the gate, shine your light on the full sun, and wind the crank to open the gate. The moon temple awaits just beyond this gate–focus your light on its front to clear the entrance.
Inside the Moon Temple
In the first room of the moon temple, direct your light at the moon in the wall, then send the bird to the post. Shine your light on the full sun in the wall to transform the bird and open the door.
In the following room, focus on the moon in the wall and send the bird to the post on the left. Shine your light on the full sun in the wall to lower the post and unlock the door, then shine your light on the moon again to create a path for passing through.
As you approach the final room, cast your light on the full sun in the wall to transform your bird. Perform these actions to proceed through the room:
- Send your bird to the crank positioned in the center.
- Wind the crank to bring the small platform to the bottom of the room.
- Utilize the small platform to reach the central platform.
- Direct the bird to the crank, winding it until the small platform is at the top of the room.
- Shine your light on the moon in the wall and send the spectral bird to the post.
- Lastly, direct your light at the full sun in the wall to lower the post and open the door.
Returning to the Robot
Players can now exit the temple and claim the moon amulet from the door. Once outside, they should return to the robot and insert all three amulets into it. Following a brief cutscene, players can proceed along the path behind the robot to continue the storyline of Keeper.
