Overview of The Haunting Season 6 Content for Black Ops 6 & Warzone

Multiplayer Maps & Modes

The Haunting Season 6 will introduce three new Multiplayer maps and one variant available at launch on October 9. The new 6v6 maps are Gravity, Rig, and Mothball, with Mothball also serving as a Strike Map. Additionally, players can explore Boo-Town, a Halloween-themed twist on Nuketown featuring giant spiders and spooky decorations.

New game modes will include Slasher Deathmatch, allowing players to compete as iconic horror characters like Jason Voorhees and Chucky, each with distinct abilities. This mode comprises four rounds and will be available at the start of Season 6.

The Haunting Updates for Warzone

Season 6’s substantial updates for Warzone will resurrect The Haunting in a significant way. Both Verdansk and Rebirth Island will feature Night Variants from launch, enhancing the eerie environment. Later in the season, Zombie Royale will also be introduced, replacing the Gulag with play as the undead. Zombie players will possess unique abilities to eliminate human players or gather Anti-Virals for a second chance.

The Mutant Injection Scorestreak from Zombies will make its debut in Warzone at launch, allowing players to transform into a Mangler, with potential for additional enemy transformations as the season unfolds. Portals will be introduced in Battle Royale for rapid map traversal, and a new mode, Casual Z, will come into play. In Casual Z, players confront zombies, other players, and AI mercenaries in Verdansk and Resurgence, reminiscent of MWZ but without the extraction component.

Updates for Zombies

While Zombies will see a wealth of content added in Season 6, several notable features include the introduction of the Haunted Havoc LTM, immersing players in round-based gameplay where the Rampage Inducer remains active. Expect a Halloween-themed revamp with pumpkin-headed enemies, and players will need to fend off Mimics while earning GobbleGum rewards for completing quests on any map.

New GobbleGums, such as Jacked Lanterns, will bring a whimsical touch with pumpkin heads on zombies. Among the Zombies’ offerings will also be two new Leaderboard Event rewards: Death Pit and Extinction Protocol, which likely provide players with Emblems and free GobbleGums that may carry over to Black Ops 7 if left unclaimed.

New Weapons & Loadout Options

Season 6 will introduce an exciting array of weapons and loadout options, featuring two notable additions: the Dresden 9mm (MP40) and the Merrick 556 (M14), both obtainable through the Season 6 Battle Pass. A Chainsaw will also be available as an in-season event reward, along with a new Special Weapon, the X52 Resonator.

For attachments, players can acquire the GPR91 Double-Barrel Conversion via the Battle Pass, which enables the GPR91 to unleash two rounds simultaneously at the cost of a slower rate of fire. Additionally, the GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster will be obtainable through events, enhancing fire rate and bullet velocity over time, albeit with increased recoil.

Season 6 Battle Pass & Crossover Skins

As anticipated, Season 6 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone will feature its own Battle Pass. Unexpectedly, the season will also unveil collaborative skins, with The Predator available through the Season 6 Battle Pass, while Jason Voorhees will receive a dedicated Store Bundle later in the season. Players can also access the Chucky Operator Skin and My Tiffany Skin via the Chucky Event Pass.

New Limited-Time Events

No new season is complete without various limited-time events, all scheduled throughout the season. At launch, players can unlock Daily Login Rewards as part of The Haunting, which will include the complimentary Rave in Us Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint among other rewards. Other exciting events consist of the Chucky Event Pass (premium track costing 1,100 COD Points), alongside Echoes of the Dead and Tapes of Terror, with the final event offering players the Zombies Reel Weapon Camo.

Black Ops 6 Free Trial

To top it all off, Season 6 permits players to sample Black Ops 6 for free if they haven’t experienced it yet. The Black Ops 6 Free Trial will commence with the launch of Season 6 and run until October 16 at 10 AM PT. This free trial will give players full access to the game, covering Campaign, Zombies, and Multiplayer, as well as all the new content included in The Haunting.
