Filming for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series adaptation of Tomb Raider has hit a temporary snag following a minor injury sustained by lead actress Sophie Turner. Known for her portrayal of Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, Turner steps into the iconic role of Lara Croft, a character popularized by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in earlier film adaptations.

In an official statement, Amazon MGM Studios conveyed that the production halt is a precautionary measure to ensure Turner has adequate time to recuperate. They expressed their eagerness to resume filming as soon as she is fit to return.
