Set for a global release on November 14, 2025, Activision and Treyarch are gearing up for a robust first season. Although an exact start date has not been officially confirmed, it’s anticipated to launch roughly a month following the game’s release, based on previous CoD titles.

Activision has announced that this post-launch phase will be the most extensive to date, introducing significant multiplayer enhancements, fresh Zombies content, and complete integration with Warzone. This includes a brand-new Resurgence map and comprehensive system updates.

Here’s a summary of key points for the Black Ops 7 Season 1 roadmap.

BO7 Season 1 Roadmap

New Maps, Game Modes, Weapons, and More

Season 1 will unveil four new 6v6 multiplayer maps: Vertigo Remaster, Nuketown 2025, Meltdown Remaster, and Yemen Remaster. These maps will add to the already impressive selection available at launch. For game modes, an Overload mode will debut alongside Skirmish.

Players can anticipate at least two new Zombies Survival maps alongside a new round-based Zombies map, catering to both cooperative and solo gameplay styles. All map expansions will be free for everyone. Additionally, there will be new perks available in the Zombies mode, along with the introduction of Cursed Mode and Dead Ops Arcade 4.

New weapons, operator bundles, and various earnable progression rewards are also on the way for Season 1, along with a brand-new battle pass to appeal to both casual and competitive gamers.

In Warzone, integration with the primary game will commence during Season 1, featuring a new Resurgence map known as Haven’s Hollow. Rebirth Island will also receive a refresh, in addition to new points of interest on Verdansk, including the Signal Station and a remastered Factory.

The available game modes will encompass Battle Royale, Resurgence, Ranked Play, Plunder, and Casual. Moreover, new melee weapons, weekly challenges, and more content will be introduced.

Will There Be Limited-Time Events?

Yes, during the course of BO7 Season 1, players will have the opportunity to engage in limited-time in-game events and unlock themed cosmetics by completing specific challenges, reminiscent of previous Call of Duty games.

As usual, there will be scheduled «Reloaded» mid-season updates to implement adjustments, bug fixes, and expansions beyond the initial roadmap phase.

Activision is set to provide more information regarding these events as the first season draws closer. In the meantime, players can check the end dates and times for the Black Ops 7 open beta.
