Delta Force offers various game modes, each featuring unique progression paths and standalone activities. Players can engage in intense combat or explore the extraction gameplay that Delta Force incorporates.
Here is a breakdown of every game mode available in Delta Force and what players can anticipate from each one.
All Game Modes in Delta Force
Warfare
Warfare is a Battlefield-inspired mode primarily focused on infantry and vehicle warfare, integrating elements that may remind players of Call of Duty. Similar to Battlefield, players can choose an operator linked to a specific class, create their loadout, and team up with others. Progress through the mode allows access to additional weapons and enhancements.
During matches, participants need to eliminate foes and either seize or protect objectives, earning points that can be spent on call-ins such as Guided Missiles or Tactical Beacons, functioning as scorestreaks in Delta Force.
Warfare has several sub-modes that players can experience. Some of these are currently on rotation or available for a limited time. Below are the active game modes along with those temporarily out of rotation:
Current Modes
- Attack and Defend: Attackers aim to capture two objectives within a sector to progress to the next, while defenders must prevent this. The attackers have finite reinforcements, whereas defenders have unlimited.
- King of the Hill: Two teams vie for control over sectors with objectives, obtaining strategic resources upon capturing all objectives in a sector. The team that first achieves the target amount wins.
- Team Deathmatch: Two teams of eight compete on smaller maps, with the first team to reach 100 kills declared the winner. Teammate rescues, respawn beacons, and certain call-ins are not available.
- Fault: A variant of Attack and Defend or King of the Hill played exclusively on the Fault map.
- Victory Unite: A more strategic option featuring team Commanders who issue orders to Squad Captains, incorporating Attack and Defend gameplay on Ascension.
- Battle Practice: A PvE adaptation of the Attack and Defend mode. Note that this mode does not provide experience points.
Inactive Modes (Out of Rotation)
- Attack and Defend – Shafted: Exclusive to the Shafted map.
- Attack and Defend – Threshold: Exclusively played on the Threshold map.
- Attack and Defend – Trench Lines: A mode only playable on the Trench Lines map.
- Hill of Iron: A King of the Hill mode featuring increased heavy vehicle presence.
- King of the Hill – Shafted: Specifically set on the Shafted map.
- Blitz: A fast-paced King of the Hill variant with fewer objectives and random respawn locations.
- Siege: Multiple objectives on a smaller map, replicating the final phase of a traditional Attack and Defend situation.
- Top Voted: A community-selected mode, changing every couple of days.
- Knife Edge Only: Exclusively for the Knife Edge map in Attack and Defend.
- Trench Lines – Night: A night variant of the Attack and Defend or King of the Hill modes, played on the Trench Lines map.
- Hill of Iron: King of the Hill with an increased presence of heavy vehicles.
Operations
Operations is a combination of different game styles. Originally designed as an extraction mode similar to Escape from Tarkov, it has now expanded into various types to cater to all player preferences. The gameplay in Operations emphasizes strategy compared to Warfare, featuring extended cooldowns, injuries, and other tactical elements.
There are four main game types within Operations:
- Hazard Operation: An extraction-focused mode where players explore the map, gather loot, engage in side missions, or track down other players. To keep their loot, players must use designated extraction points. Loot can be utilized in future Hazard Operations and Raids, traded for Tekniq Alloys, or used to craft items at the player’s base. Death results in losing all gear minus what was stored in the Safe Box, but players do receive Gear Tickets to help start their next adventure.
- Operation Blackout: Taking place at night, these operations mirror Hazard Operations but are set in darkness. Players navigate familiar maps under completely different conditions.
- Raid: Similar to Operation Serpentine, Raids are PvE missions where players can utilize their equipped gear to venture through a multi-stage mission teeming with AI adversaries and tasks to accomplish. Players do not lose gear upon dying in this mode.
- Hot Zone: This 3v3v3 PvP format occurs on smaller maps, requiring teams to eliminate all opponents or successfully capture the MandelCell to win a round. The first team to secure three round victories takes the match. Players use preset gear instead of items from their stash.
Black Hawk Down
Black Hawk Down represents a cooperative campaign in Delta Force, reworking elements from the 2001 film and the preceding Delta Force series. It features seven challenging missions that players can undertake solo or with a team.
