In the chilling world of Resident Evil Requiem, players are thrust into a harrowing scenario where they must navigate a dimly lit Examination Room in the East Wing, where a lifeless body lies on the slab, awaiting critical organ donations. Your objective becomes imperative: procure both the Artificial Heart and Artificial Lungs to fulfill this grim task–and in return, unlock a hidden treasure that clings tightly to the corpse’s wrist.
To successfully complete this organ donation puzzle, one must follow a strategic process to recover these artificial organs. As you step into the role of Grace in the Care Center, each decision counts toward ensuring your survival while making swift progress through the game.
To start this quest, players first need to acquire a Level 1 Keycard for accessing previously locked areas. This keycard can be located in an upstairs corridor of the East Wing. Once equipped, venture down to the ground floor of the West Wing, where you’ll find the first Security Level 1 door accessible. Beyond this door lies the Custodian’s Office, situated to the east; inside, you can retrieve a Wrench resting atop a desk near a typewriter.
With the Wrench in hand, continue through the West Wing until you find a door equipped with a handwheel. Use your tool to open the Cold Storage room, where the coveted Artificial Heart awaits your grasp.
Next, you’ll want to secure the Artificial Lungs. First, make sure to save your game in the Custodian’s Office for precaution. Head south into the Garage, where a van holds an Organ Transport Box. However, be prepared–an aggressive zombie operating a bulldozer attempts a deadly ambush. A quick shot to the driver will allow you to escape unscathed.
Once you have the Organ Transport Box, turn your attention to solving its puzzle. To unlock it, follow these steps: rotate the dial to «Hand» on the left, adjust the switch to the middle position, press the yellow buttons marked 2 and 5 down while leaving others elevated, and finally, turn the dial to «Auto» on the right side. Successfully completing this sequence will grant you access to the Artificial Lungs. For those in search of the puzzle solution, remember to check the Leatherbound Notebook obtained from the Puzzle Box in the Lead Researcher’s Office.
With both the Artificial Heart and Lungs retrieved, return to the Examination Room for the final act. Engage with the corpse, placing the organs into its open chest–note that the order does not affect the outcome. Suddenly, the corpse reanimates, forcing you into a confrontation. Aim for headshots to take down this relentless adversary, watching out for erratic zombie strikes. After emerging victorious, you will uncover a Security Level 2 Keycard, providing access to further areas, including the Isolation Ward.
