Destiny 2 has recently encountered a glitch that enables players to defeat raid bosses with just a few strikes. This issue mirrors the notorious «The Craftening» incident from 2023, but this time, the secret lies in wielding a Lightweight sword.

To exploit this glitch, players need to possess a Lightweight Heavy sword with no ammunition. By jumping and swinging at an enemy, you can inflict damage ranging from 10,000 to 20,000, depending on the difficulty level of the content. It’s important to note that only a Heavy sword will work for this trick–unfortunately, the Ergo Sum Exotic sword with a Lightweight Frame does not produce the same results.

Quickfang

Quickfang is the oldest Lightweight sword available in Destiny 2. If you have unlocked it, you can retrieve the Year One version from your Collections. The updated version can appear as a random drop from vendors like Xûr and Banshee-44.

Some players have noted that it might be feasible to acquire Quickfang from the older Crucible playlists found in the Destinations tab (not from those in the Portal), as they drop Year One gear. However, the chances are quite slim because of the loot pool and lengthy queue times.

Goldtusk

Goldtusk can also be found as a random drop at Xûr and Banshee-44, but it is also possible to craft it if you obtained the pattern during the Season of Defiance. If you have the crafting pattern, visit the Enclave to shape the sword with your desired perks.

Bungie has confirmed that a fix for the Lightweight swords glitch will be implemented during the weekly reset on September 23, so players still have a few days to maximize their activities and farm those Tier 5 drops.
