Enthusiastic players eager to complete these quests can find a detailed guide below, including strategies to earn XP and prepare for the upcoming challenges that will be introduced later in this exciting season known as Shock ‘N Awesome.
Reports from some players suggest that the Egg-Cellent Observations quests are currently experiencing issues, with certain quests not appearing. Although a fix is not yet available, players can attempt to follow the steps outlined below in sequential order.
Stage 1 – Eliminate 3 Swarmer Nests to Reduce Swarm Population

The initial stage of the Egg-Cellent Observations quest requires players to locate and destroy 3 Swarmer Nests. These nests can be primarily found scattered across the map, with reliable spots being within The Hive and Ranger’s Ruin. Swarmer Nests are easily recognizable due to the blue bulbs protruding from them, and players can obliterate them using any weapon, including pickaxes, rocket launchers, assault rifles, or even by crashing vehicles into them. Striking the bulbs inflicts additional damage, ultimately causing the nest to burst. However, players should be cautious, as bugs may emerge from the nests when disturbed.
Stage 2 – Break Open 5 Hive Stashes to Uncover Swarm Energy

Hive Stashes, which are essentially rare chests encased in large orange egg sacs, can be interacted with to access loot and complete this quest. The Hive and Ranger’s Ruin typically host at least two Hive Stashes each, with additional ones scattered nearby. Players are advised to parachute down to these locations from the Battle Bus. Even if someone else has already raided them, players can start a new match and try again.

After successfully completing Stage 2, players will need to find The Hive, where they will find 3 interactive sensors installed at the site. These sensors are located in the north, west, and south sections of The Hive and can be recognized by their red color and sonar visuals. Stage 4 – Collect 2 Tainted Eggs at The Hive

Continuing their quest in The Hive, players will now need to gather 2 Tainted Eggs. These eggs can be found in the northern and southern areas of The Hive, concealed within the bug caverns. Stage 5 – Deliver the Tainted Eggs to Hope

Once the eggs are collected, players should head northeast of The Hive towards Supernova Academy. Within the east basement of Supernova Academy, players will encounter Hope and Agent Jones. Interacting with these NPCs will provide dialogue and complete this step of the quest.
Step 6 – Defeat a Bug Queen to Verify Hope’s Hypothesis

The concluding task for this round of story quests involves defeating a Bug Queen. Bug Queens appear in certain map locations, with only two being active at any given time. Players can locate the active Bug Queens using the tentacle icon on their maps. Typical spawning areas for Bug Queens include The Hive, Ranger’s Ruin, Demon’s Debris, and Dystopia City. Players can summon the Bug Queens by eliminating bugs in the vicinity and destroying Swarmer Nests and Hive Stashes. Once sufficient damage is dealt, the Bug Queen will manifest. Given its considerable health, players should opt for the Bug Blaster to help whittle down its health bar and complete the quest.
