How to Initiate the Chiaroscuro Quest
To begin the Chiaroscuro quest, engage with Voyta right after finishing the Source of Inspiration quest, or head back to Trosky Castle and wait for him to arrive. He will inform you that he requires a Basilisk Egg, and there are specific tasks you need to complete to secure one. Your first goal is to find the egg of a Black Cockerel. For this, fast travel to Semine and proceed west towards the indicated marker.

Upon reaching the designated area, speak with Farmer Slavek regarding the Black Cockerel. You’ll need to pass a Skill Check; all available options are straightforward, so choose whichever you prefer. He will provide information about the Black Cockerel and where it was buried along with its eggs. Proceed to the dung heap where two dogs are present. Eliminate them and retrieve the Rooster’s egg from the dung. With the egg secured, head towards Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn.
If you haven’t done so, consider getting a haircut at the Barber located in Zhelejov, who can be found on the map. The barber offers affordable and diverse options for adjusting Henry’s hairstyle and beard.

Travel west towards the indicated marker, entering a vast search area. On your map, you might spot a small region to the southeast filled with trees–make your way there and you’ll get a prompt to investigate as you approach the nest. Place the egg at the base of the tree trunk and leave the area for a duration of 24 hours. You can rest at the Inn in Zhelejov or occupy yourself with other activities during this time. After 24 hours, you will receive an update on your progress and be able to return to collect the Basilisk egg.
Once you’ve collected the egg, return to Trosky Castle where Voyta is waiting. Speaking with him will allow Henry to present the egg, rewarding you with a Gemstone Silver Ring.
