Stendarr’s Mercy Quest Walkthrough in Oblivion Remastered
After obtaining the Cuirass of the Crusader during the Priory of the Nine quest, engage in conversation with all the Knights to gather information on the armor pieces. Speak to Sir Casimir to initiate the Stendarr’s Mercy quest. He will share the tale of the Gauntlets of the Crusader and their location, mentioning the necessity of being worthy to claim them. Fast travel to Chorrol and proceed to the Chapel of Stendarr.
Within the chapel, in the far corner, you will find the Gauntlets. Upon attempting to pick them up, you will receive a message indicating that they are too heavy to be moved. Consult Areldur about the Gauntlets, who will provide additional context about them and Kellen, a descendant of Sir Casimir who suffers under the same curse. How To Lift the Curse from Kellen in Oblivion Remastered

After this exchange, approach the Altar of the Nine and absorb the curse. This action grants you the «Lay Hands» Magic Spell, which you can then use on Kellen. Once you perform this, Kellen will be freed from his curse, allowing you to reclaim the Gauntlets, as Stendarr will now deem you worthy.
While cursed, you will collapse every time your stamina or fatigue reaches zero. The only resolution is to complete the Knights’ questline and collect all the Crusader’s Relics.
