To heal a zombie bite in PEAK, consume either a Medicinal Root or a Mandrake. These items are commonly found in the ROOTS biome, easily spotted on the ground due to their carrot-like shape with green leaves protruding from their tops. Caution: consuming the Mandrake takes time, and it will emit a loud scream if left unattended. After using a Medicinal Root or Mandrake, your Spores meter will decrease and stop rising, indicating that the zombie bite has been cured.

If you’re keen to get bitten by a zombie while playing solo, explore the ROOTS biome. You will encounter the Looker, an orange scout enveloped in fungus, who will attack and bite you. The infection will be evident when your Spores meter next to the stamina bar continues to climb. If left untreated, you will succumb to the zombie transformation once your stamina depletes.

Upon successfully treating a zombie bite, you will unlock the Undead Encounter Badge, which adds a new badge to your collection and rewards you with the Pumpkin Hat cosmetic.
