However, head coach Dylan Falco believes that these challenges have prompted significant evolution within the team, igniting renewed optimism among fans as they approach the Summer Split finals and Worlds 2025.
«We’re not the same team we were at MSI. Anyone who has followed our journey through EWC and the Summer Split can see the change. I anticipate a much better performance from us,» Dylan Falco stated in a conversation with Sheep Esports. He also mentioned that G2 Esports managed to overcome Top Esports in the lower bracket during MSI 2024 and feels they have regained their competitive edge for the Summer Split.
Falco acknowledged the team’s past difficulties in crucial moments but emphasized that he is not seeking an effortless route to the top eight. Instead, he is determined for G2 to showcase their capabilities by defeating the best at Worlds 2025–a challenge he believes they are now ready to embrace.
BrokenBlade, the team’s reliable top laner, shared similar confidence in a recent interview, stating that G2 has learned from their previous in-game errors, adjusted their strategies, and is now prepared for the upcoming Worlds 2025.
Dylan Falco, who has been part of G2 Esports since 2021, has steered the team through various triumphs alongside head analyst Rodrigo. Given the significance of their leadership in G2’s development, there are naturally queries about Falco’s future, particularly with his contract ending in 2025. When asked about the possibility of an extension with the organization, he acknowledged that it is always an option.
G2 Esports is currently in Madrid awaiting the outcome of the lower bracket finals. While G2 and MKOI have secured their spots for Worlds 2025, Fnatic has claimed the third seed from Europe after a victory against Karmine Corp.
