In a remarkable display of interest and support, the Kickstarter campaign for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game has concluded, amassing nearly $27 million in funding. This staggering sum positions it as the most successful trading card game project in the platform’s history, surpassing previous records by over $11 million.
Launched in mid-March 2026 by Seattle-based WeirdCo, the Cyberpunk TCG was introduced to fans alongside its crowdfunding initiative. The campaign quickly gained momentum, reaching its initial goal of $100,000 within minutes after the announcement.
As the campaign wrapped up on April 17, it had garnered a total of $26,953,978, nearly 27 times the original target. This achievement not only solidifies WeirdCo’s presence in the trading card game scene but also dethroned the former record holder, Cosmere RPG, which raised $15.15 million in its own campaign. While the latter attracted over 55,000 backers, the Cyberpunk TCG secured the support of 47,676 enthusiasts.
Backers of the Cyberpunk TCG can rest assured they will receive all the cards and extras they ordered, as those items will be printed on demand. WeirdCo has similarly committed to fulfilling all pre-orders made through authorized distributors by May 1, 2026. Certain cards, particularly those from higher backer tiers, will remain exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign, although most will later see retail availability. For those who qualified for express shipping by pledging $375 or more, fulfillment of orders is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026.
The excitement around the Cyberpunk universe doesn’t stop with the trading card game. WeirdCo’s venture is complemented by CD Projekt Red’s announcement of additional releases in 2026, including Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush, an interactive arcade cabinet featuring replicas of iconic motorcycles from the game. Developed with UNIS Technology, this unique entertainment piece is slated for shipping in May 2026, although its pricing remains undisclosed.
Further enhancing the Cyberpunk experience, CDPR is also set to launch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted Board Game in September 2026. This eagerly awaited title will be the second tabletop game inspired by the company’s acclaimed RPG, following the successful shipping of Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City in 2023.
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting more significant developments: a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, currently in pre-production under the codename Project Orion, is lined up as one of the future releases from CDPR, alongside The Witcher 4, which is expected to debut first.
