In the latest season of Delta Force, titled War Ablaze, a new permanent mode known as Team Deathmatch has been introduced. This mode is designed for infantry gameplay, with the primary goal of taking out the opposing team.

This marks not the first occasion where Team Jade has rolled out a new game mode for Delta Force. Previous introductions include the largely overlooked Hot Zone from Season Starfall. In a recent discussion with game design director Ricky Liao, the topic of how to effectively incorporate TDM into the overall game structure was addressed to prevent a similar fate.

«We have taken lessons from our previous experiences, including with Hot Zone. To ensure a mode’s success, it must be seamlessly integrated into the overall game experience,» explained Liao. The TDM mode will feature prominently in the game’s core functions, including events and challenges, making it a vital and fulfilling part of the gameplay.

Team Jade is also mindful of the Hot Zone mode. Although there aren’t any significant updates for it in War Ablaze, the developers plan to revitalize it along with other modes and are currently exploring the best methods to achieve this. They have also mentioned the return of Warfare night maps from the Eclipse Vigil season, stating, «We can’t provide a specific date for their return, but we aim to ensure they come back improved and more engaging. Keep an eye out!» Liao added.

The announcement of TDM has generated various ideas for additional game modes for Delta Force, including options like 5v5 Search and Destroy, among others. Liao highlighted that the community’s feedback on TDM will help inform future mode development, with the intention of expanding the variety of combat experiences available.

The War Ablaze season of Delta Force is currently live, and players can experience the new TDM mode firsthand. The latest maps, including Fault, feature F-45A fighter jets, allowing for a unique perspective on gameplay.
