Release Date for Doom Bots Game Mode – League of Legends 2025

After more than a decade, Doom Bots have returned to League of Legends, with Veigar leading a new formidable army and bringing exciting gameplay mechanics for fans to experience in this revived game mode.

This isn’t merely a repeat of the chaotic League game mode you recall. Riot Games has revamped it, introducing a fresh final boss, Veigar, who takes the place of Teemo in the mid lane. Building on concepts from Swarm, the developer has implemented tougher AI bots and designed challenging boss encounters to truly test players’ abilities.

Release Date for the LoL Doom Bots Game Mode

League’s Doom Bots game mode will become available on public servers with Patch 25.17, scheduled to launch on August 27, 2025.

<pAs in previous iterations, this is a PvE mode where you and four friends will face Veigar and his team of powerful bots. You'll need to survive for 15 minutes and then confront Veigar himself while safeguarding your Nexus. Performing well against the enemy bots during the initial phase can give your team a significant advantage in the final showdown.

While some familiar characters return, the new Doom Bots feature Wukong, who can create up to seven spinning clones, and Nami, who now has a split bubble ability and can target more allies, making her attacks harder to avoid. The climactic boss encounter involves Veigar, who utilizes Mordekaiser’s Death Realm to challenge players with his bots during the fight.

This mode also brings Trials of Doom for those seeking a higher challenge level, with rotating high-difficulty tasks introduced in each patch. Completing all three trials will reward you with a unique title. The initial trial boosts difficulty by equipping all Doom Bots with Veigar’s passive ability, which allows them to gain Adaptive Force with each successful hit, making them progressively stronger as the game advances.

Additionally, Veigar presents mid-game missions that can grant your team substantial buffs, such as Dragon Souls. However, failing these challenges will only make his Doom Bots more lethal, complicating your survival. Classic Curses return with a twist, capable of obstructing players, yet savvy players might find ways to leverage them to their advantage.

With all the new bosses, missions, and enhancements, this revamped game mode offers a blend of nostalgia and thrilling chaos for players eager to engage after their escapades in Summoner’s Rift.
