100 Thieves is preparing for VCT 2026 with Peter «Asuna» Mazuryk, one of the most experienced professional VALORANT players, remaining a key player in the roster for the sixth consecutive year. Although he has navigated various roster changes successfully, the 22-year-old has yet to demonstrate that he is the foundational player 100 Thieves believes him to be.
According to a post on Reddit, Asuna’s long-standing association with 100 Thieves has seen him collaborate with 23 different teammates and work under six different head coaches. His tenure is closely rivaled by Erick «Xeppaa» Bach of Cloud9, who has been with his team since 2021 and has played alongside 18 teammates.
Asuna’s journey with the organization began in October 2020, when he was supported by now-retired VALORANT veterans including Spencer «Hiko» Martin, Nicholas «nitr0» Cannella, and Joshua «steel» Nissan, as he showcased the finest performances of his career. The team has experienced multiple seasonal changes, and Asuna has shifted from a core duelist to a flex flash initiator role, yet he consistently impressed during VCT 2021 and 2022.
Recently, however, Asuna has struggled to regain the exceptional form that characterized the early part of his career. While not underperforming outright, his contributions in both duel and support roles have generally fallen short since 2023. Despite having the chance to work with top VALORANT players and coaches, there seems to be something preventing him from reaching the heights he once achieved. Notably, in an environment where continuous poor performance often leads to being benched, 100 Thieves has not sidelined Asuna since 2020.
On November 5, 100 Thieves announced that Asuna and Matthew «Cryocells» Panganiban will be continuing with the roster next season. Additionally, there are rumors that Sean «bang» Bezerra could return after a year with Sentinels during VCT 2025.
Reportedly, the organization is also looking to bring on board former TSM players Jordan «vora» Pulwer and Timothée «Timotino» Lavigne, as well as coach Laurynas «Nbs» Kisielius. Fans are particularly optimistic about this revamp, with many believing that Nbs’ coaching style might be crucial in unlocking Asuna’s potential in his current flex role.
